- It appears as if the last two names for this year's WWE Hall of Fame have been officially announced.
Tony Atlas & William "The Refrigerator" Perry will round out the 2006 HOF class and accept their place in the history of the company along with fellow inductees such as Bret "Hitman" Hart, the late Eddie Guerrero, The Blackjacks, Verne Gagne, "Sensational" Sherri, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund.
Atlas has had a very storied career, debuting in 1974 as "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas. He has worked for several companies over the years and has won numerous championships. His biggest win in the WWE came when he teamed up with The Rock's father Rocky Johnson to defeat the Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. He also worked in the WWE under the gimmick Saba Simba in the early 90's.
Perry was only involved with the WWE for one show, but that show was Wrestlemania 2, as "The Refrigerator" took part in the over the top rope battle royal that featured some of the NFL & WWE's greatest superstars. In the end, Perry was eliminated by the late Big John Studd, but while he was in there, "The Refrigerator" made his mark to the WWE fans around the world. Perry will join Pete Rose in the "celebrity" win of the Hall of Fame.
