The Return of FACT or FICTION: Happy VD!!!

    FACT or FICTION

Morpheus: Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Women and Children of all ages, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you, albeit briefly, to the non-anticipated and much-overrated return of one of the old staples of good ol’ Lords of Pain dot net, FACT or FICTION. It’s been awhile since one of these graced the front page here, and we’re excited to be able to bring it back to all of you on this most cursed of corporate holidays. I trust love is treating you all better than it is me, and without further ado I hereby turn the reigns of this shindig over to my good friend Boss Foxx, who is the moderator of this little slice of Americana. Some of you may remember him as Valleyboy from this very site, where once upon a time he wrote a column entitled Selective Memory. He’s still one of the best in the biz, and you’ll find yourself in his capable hands right about… Now. Take it away, Boss.

Boss Foxx: Thanks, M. I've got a special Valentine just for you, big boy. Can you guess what it is? That's right... a Randy Orton endorsed blow-up doll. As for FoF, I think it's only fair to carry on the stolen tradition that we pilfered from Phantom Lord and give the masses more of the same derivative and clichéd types of topics that they've come to know and love. It brings a tear to my eye and a pang in my heart to know that we're contributing to the dumbing down of wrestling fans just one column at a time. But enough of this chit-chat, let's get to the chit-chat.

Love is in the air... and something's on the sheets. Ewww. I told her I felt a wet spot. Ah well, onward and upward. It's Valentine's and time for another edition of FACT or FICTION. This time we've got Morpheus, Corso, Jules, and Randomguy#5 onboard. Al Boo Boo was going to chime in too, but his contributions were AWOL by the time the deadline rolled around. Oh well, he's probably busy this weekend with humping whatever single girl is leftover at last call on the weekend. Good for him – Keep reaching for that rainbow, Al.

But enough of this chit-chat, let's get to the column. The format is simple. I give a statement and everyone responds with whether they think is FACT or FICTION and why. Got it? Good. Let's kick this pig.

A recent rumor on the IWC was that Chris Jericho would be willing to sign with TNA if he received a similar amount of money that Sting is currently receiving. Given the stature and talents of both Sting and Chris Jericho, TNA could consider Chris Jericho an equally viable investment to Sting considering the asking price. FACT or FICTION?

Jules - Well, if this were 1991, I would have probably have had to say fiction. But considering the fact that we our now well into the new millennium and since Jericho has still got a couple of good years left in him at least, I am going call this one a definite FACT. You have to remember that he was the first ever Undisputed Champion which is a major feather in his cap for sure and something every other wrestler on the planet has to be envious of. Plus I do recall something the WWE said a while before (or possibly after) Jericho left the company. It was leaked onto the Internet somehow that the big brass at WWE did not feel that losing Chris Jericho was that big of a deal since he was not somebody whom they felt a company could be built up around. It seems like they were practically daring Y2J to go to TNA there. And I think it would be a very good thing for wrestling as whole if he did do just that. When he's motivated and focused there are very few guys that can match Y2J in the classic competitive match category.

Chris Jericho may be pretty far away from Sting in terms of 'legend status', there is no denying that. However, what he may lack to Sting in terms of name value he more than makes up for in wrestling ability. Steve Borden may be the more recognizable and bankable marquee at the moment but you'd have to either be a complete Sting mark or just blind as a bat if you didn't see that he has lost a step or two in his advanced age (he's nearly 50). And those patented Stinger splashes lack quite a bit of the take off power they use to posses back in Sting's glory days. Furthermore the fact that TNA decided that his first match back had to be a tag team encounter just goes to show you how much confidence they have in The Stingers current ability to pull off a great main event match. If it had been Jericho however, no such catering would have been necessary since he has proven time and time again over the last year or so that he can still go move for move with just about anyone in the business. (excluding only the insane acrobats of the x-division maybe)

I think TNA would indeed be smart to go after Jericho sometime in the near future as he pretty much epitomizes everything that company stands for (or claims to stand for anyway) But also with that being said I would not totally suggest that they ignore Sting's valuable services. They would be wise to offer Sting a "Pay Per Appearance" type of deal like the one they have with Raven. That way he could still wrestle at the occasional PPV which would help to boost TNA's main-stream exposure and buy-rates. And also it would keep him from getting burnt out too quickly. Taking a quick glance at the TNA roster it would not take much imagination to book Sting into a few very lucrative "dream matches." Especially with the likes of AJ Styles or Abyss. But how about this one, if TNA signed Chris Jericho we could potentially then see Jericho vs Sting somewhere down the road in a TNA ring. Now there's a match I would personally mark out for and I bet a couple of other folks watching it would too. But to finish my rant here all in all I believe that Chris Jericho would have been a much better investment at this stage in his career. In an interesting side note if he were signed and given a world title push. It would mark the second time in less than a year that he has jumped in and stole Christian Cage's main event title program.

Corso - FACT. Jericho would work more than Sting, and being with Fozzy, he can record theme songs for TNA. He also has a little thing on XM that he can advertise TNA on. Although most people with XM will be listening to Oprah's channel.

Morpheus - I have to say that no matter which direction you look at this from, the result is the same: FICTION. If you look at it simply based on name recognition and the casual fan interest that can be drawn in by said name, Sting likely has an advantage and thus is a more viable investment from that standpoint. However, if you take into consideration actual wrestling ability and the possibility of turning some die hard WWE fans over to the dark side, Chris Jericho has it all over Brandon Lee’s Stalker. In the long run, I think the company could benefit MORE by spending that investment on Chris Jericho than they will from the initial hype surrounding Sting, especially now that his first act as a member of the TNA roster is taking a vacation. The fact of the matter is, Jigga wrote a column in the forum a little ways back that was titled, “He’s an Overrated Douche Called Sting.” Sums up my feelings quite nicely.

Randomguy#5 - I love Chris Jericho, but this is complete FICTION. The whole purpose of TNA’s brining in Sting had nothing to do with his wrestling ability, otherwise Jericho is hands down not only viable, but better. Sadly it’s about name recognition, and in this case, it’s about appeasing the network. Spike told TNA they wanted bigger named talent that a national audience would recognize. Now, we “in the know” who are die-hard wrestling fans know that Chris Jericho is twice as valuable as Sting. But in the eyes of network executives who are looking for “big name” talent, Jericho doesn’t hold a candle to the name power of Sting. The only reason they spent that kind of jack is to appease the executives at Spike, and they’ve been rewarded for doing so with a new primetime timeslot. Jericho doesn’t fulfill that network demand, and is thus not worth that kind of money in the eyes of TNA.

Boss FoxxFACT. I can appreciated that TNA and SpikeTV are just plain ass-backwards when it comes to signing talent in hopes of building their popularity over the long term. Jeff Jarrett remains the #1 name on their roster despite the fact that he's not even in the Top Five of most recognizable talent. Sting has name value, but not nearly as much as he had five years ago... and certainly nowhere near the value that he had in his prime. He's just not a Hulk Hogan or a Ric Flair in that regard.

Now I'm not saying that Chris Jericho is the second coming, but the man is only now breaking into his mid 30's and has built an equal amount of mainstream appeal, in my opinion, when compared to Sting nowadays. If TNA was truly committed to thinking long term in their goals, Chris Jericho would have been signed at the earliest opportunity.

All things considered both creatively and fiscally, Rey Mysterio is the best choice WWE had at their disposal to have win the Royal Rumble and co-headline WrestleMania 22. FACT or FICTION?

Jules - Considering the other options the WWE had at their disposal I would say that this is an irrefutable FACT. For those interested I wrote a column a week or two ago in which I basically stated my desire to have Rey Mysterio win this years Royal Rumble and also headline Wrestle-mania. I may have been way off on the specifics of how he would get there (which might have been a good thing in retrospect) but when he was announced as this years Rumble winner I can't remember being any happier for a wrestler's accomplishment in quite some time. As I said in the column, he was deserving of this win not just because of the sentiments surrounding the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero. But because of his contributions to the business and his untouchable in-ring ability. I feel he is without a doubt the most deserving of this honor at this time. He's been wrestling for a very long time and is regarded as a legendary innovator in our business. His influence on wrestling is being felt now in much the same way Jimmy Snuka's and Shawn Michaels influence was felt upon their respective generations which is about as high a compliment as I can think of right now.

As far as the matter of Money goes, I'm no Donald Trump (Or Vince McMahon) but I can't think of anyone else who would have been that much bigger of a draw than Rey Mysterio in terms of ratings and buy-rates. Randy Orton is still far from being ready or deserving of a main event spot at Wrestle-mania (or any other PPV for that matter). And the only other name being tossed around was Triple H, who is on RAW and thus can now still co-headline Wrestle-mania if he faces John Cena for the WWE title. Creatively speaking you have to admit that Rey's win caught quite a few people by surprise. Especially coming in at such a low number as he did. Also on the subject of marketability there's no denying his strong Latino following as he is consistently one of the most heavily cheered wrestlers on Smackdown. So, I don't see how there's much else to talk about here. This year at Wrestle-mania we get to see Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle which should be the match of the year In my mind. It sure as hell beats Cena vs JBL from last years Mania, But then again that's not saying much at all. To conclude the only thing I have left to say on this matter is congratulations to Rey Mysterio on a well deserved win and moment. I hope that he can now fulfill his destiny to become the smallest (weight wise, but not heart wise) World Heavyweight Champion of all time.

Corso - FICTION. Coach lost. Nuff said.

Morpheus - Let me address those two categories separately. Creatively, that is a FACT. Rey was one of the best choices from a creative standpoint to win the Rumble, as it continues to capitalize on the Eddie High that has been running rampant lately, it gives one of their most consistent performers the recognition in the history books that he arguably deserves, and it gave the fans something they were truly delighted to see. Plus, you have to get pretty fucking creative to believe little Rey Rey can win the damn Rumble to begin with. Fiscally, I would have to say FICTION, as I am unsure of two things. First, Rey Mysterio’s ability to headline a Pay Per View as THE top draw, let alone the biggest PPV of the year. Second, whether or not they’re even going to give him the damn main event spot anyway. Still, it’s definitely a welcome change of pace, and a true surprise and mark out moment for even the most jaded wrestling fans.

Randomguy#5 - FICTION. I’d have loved to say Fact, because they’re too many other options that I consider to be particularly impressive. Most of the younger talents are all heels, and they like to have faces win the Rumble. I understand wanting to remember Eddie by having Rey win, but in doing that all you’ve done is piss off everybody for one reason or another in this Randy Orton storyline (who could have worked as a heel winner). Personally, I’d have liked to have seen The Undertaker win the Rumble, as he’s never won it in his career. As he’s probably only a got a year or two left, this would be his last big hoo-rah before possibly saying goodbye at next years Rumble. Plus, you can leave the title on Cena, turn him heel and feud him with Taker. That’s money I tell you.

Boss FoxxFACT. Rey Mysterio is the most watched character on Smackdown according to the ratings, and he pushes merchandise to boot. Those are two things that WWE suits love to see when they look to push someone to the top. Mysterio is the epitome of the underdog, and with his history with Eddie Guerrero and Batista, it practically lends itself to have him pushed through the Rumble to WrestleMania. Is he the kind of guy to carry a brand long term? No, but that's not what this is about. This is about rooting for the underdog and seeing him achieve the impossible. I'm rooting for him.

Now that it's been announced that MTV will be helping develop a wrestling/music related show for their network, it can only mean good news for professional wrestling as a whole. FACT or FICTION?

Jules - Well, I can hardly see how more exposure for the sport on a world wide network with the clout of MTV could be bad news. So I will say FACT. Now I have not yet seen an episode of this new "reality show" but the roster looks like an interesting mix of characters to say the least. The fact that it's only getting a half hour time slot is kind of lame. And also since it's not really going to be a wrestling show at all but a reality show in the genre of "The Real World" and "Road Rules" does diminish from my overall excitement about it. But the fact that MTV, the trend setting cultural icon of the last two generations still has enough faith in wrestling as a viable form of entertainment to include it on their channels programming schedule can only spell good news for that state of Sports Entertainment today and also for it's future as an entertaining entity in all of our lives. Now if they could just get a late night weekend time slot and at least an hour to work with, then we could be looking at something worth getting in a frenzy about. But until then, this "wrestling music" show will probably be just another foot note in the long and storied history of pro-wrestling related TV shows.

Corso - FACT. New wrestling means new wrestling fans. New wrestling fans means more money for the industry.

Morpheus - FICTION. Everything MTV touches turns to suck. Need I say more?

Randomguy#5 - Oh this is total FACT. MTV wouldn’t be doing this if it was going to be a complete parody of professional wrestling, because there’s less money in that show than there is in a real wrestling show. They’ll probably drop the idea before it happens, but I’d love to see somebody get into the business that isn’t from the old school, somebody who is focused on what fans actually want. Keep all the old men with their big egos out of the company and let the puppies have a shot. Plus, MTV could make it a bit racier, and appeal to an older demographic.

Boss Foxx – FICTION. I'd love to say that I am optimistic about this new promotion, but I'd be lying. I look at MTV and I see a network that has polluted the airwaves with Viva La Bam, The Real World, Pimp My Ride, and other polished turds that simply have no business being aired nationally at all. And when I look at a potential roster of X-Pac, Vampiro, Teddy Hart, and other wash-outs and burn-outs, I cringe at the quality of matches that they'll actually air. Prepare for the worst, folks, 'cause MTV is in the “rasslin' bizness”.

Lance Storm will return to the wrestling ring on April 1st for Ring Of Honor to face Brian Danielson for the RoH Title. Considering that he wanted his retirement from wrestling to mean something unlike other wrestlers who have retired, this match tarnishes the memory of his previous “final” match with Chris Jericho at One Night Stand. FACT or FICTION?

Jules - Oh c'mon, this is pure FICTION. For starters the only real memory I have of his last match with Chris Jericho is that it was extremely short. Lance Storm is still very capable of putting on great athletic matches. He possesses a knowledge of pure chain wrestling that is on par with anyone. He also has an aerial attack strong enough to supplement his mat work to extreme effectiveness. And after the despicable way he was treated in the WWE (in regards to the boring gimmick) I for one think he deserves to retire however it is he sees fit to. Just look at it like this, his last match with Chris Jericho was the opening match of a WWE endorsed PPV and it was given under ten minutes to tell it's story and let Lance Storm say goodbye to his fans (yes, both of them, hardee har har.) He now has a chance to go out in the Main Event against a very skilled wrestler. So if him and Danielson can put on a memorable match up for the Ring Of Honor fans then what exactly is the harm in that? Lance Storm now has the chance to go out on top in a match against one of the best pure technical wrestlers to come along since Chris Benoit himself. Whether he wins or loses I have nothing but the up-most respect for Storm as a person and as a wrestler. And if it's OK for Mick Foley to go back on his word and un-retire then why have a double standard in place for Storm?

Corso - FICTION. There's no way you can honestly say wrestling for a world title would tarnish the memory of a match that most people don't remember anyways.

Morpheus - I gotta call FICTION on this one. What could be a more fitting closure to his career than wrestling a technical marvel with one of the shining young stars of this new generation? Storm can still go, and there is no question as to Danielson’s ability, so I think this will be a dream match for a lot of people, the contestants included, and can only do more to enhance the aura of Storm’s career, and perhaps elevate Danielson and ROH as a whole in the process. I mean, seriously. Imagine if Storm won the title and had a short run with it. Tell me THAT wouldn’t be an amazing finish to his career. Besides, look at Mick Foley. You don’t think the matches HE wrestles on occasion are tarnishing his retirement and legacy, do you? Okay, bad example…

Randomguy#5 - What memory? FICTION. Lance Storm is a big name to the ECW alumnus. As hardcore as a fan base as they have, there was about five people who got “swept up in the emotion” and cried when Lance Storm retired. Everybody else said “that was fun, who’s up next?” and went on a beer run. Besides, he’s still in great shape and young enough that he could have a great career with ROH or TNA. I’m glad he fell into the same trap of the other wrestlers. Maybe I’ll remember his next actual retirement.

Boss Foxx – FICTION. I guess we're all in agreement that Lance Storm is safe from tarnishing his career with coming out of retirement. While I appreciate a wrestler who retires and actually means it, I've come to accept that nearly all wrestlers come out of retirement at least once. Heck, Lance Storm came out of retirement just to wrestle Chris Jericho in what he thought would be his last match ever. Now that he's signed on to face Danielson, maybe he has a bit of that spark back and wants to try out his wrestling career again on a more casual level like other veterans have. And goodness knows that he has the credentials and the ability to still put on an enjoyable match. I am such a mark for Canadian wrestlers that can actually wrestle.

PUNK or JOE – Last year, CM Punk and Samoa Joe were two of the more highly coveted free agents in North America. In the end CM Punk signed a deal with WWE, while Samoa Joe signed with TNA. Looking at the past year, not only in terms of in-ring (Punk's matches in OVW; Joe's matches in TNA; etc...) but out of the ring as well (Punk's failure to be called up the main roster; Joe's contract disputes with TNA for wage increases; etc...), which wrestler got the better deal? PUNK or JOE.

    Jules - JOE definitely.

Samoa Joe has achieved so much in TNA wrestling in this last year. He has more than doubled his fan-base and his exposure since joining with them during the Summer of Two Thousand and Five. He's had several classic matches and to my knowledge he is still undefeated after nearly eight friggin' months! What has Punk gotten in return for going to the WWE instead of TNA? A few dark matches and a spot in their farm system.

It is not that far fetched to predict that a NWA world title run is to far away for Samoa Joe if he plays his cards right in TNA. But it will probably be a while before Punk's character ever even sees the light of day on WWE programming. Since his promos and character are so close to that of Edge and Triple H I have a feeling he will be spending quite a bit of time "tweaking" his character down in OVW before he gets an opportunity to shine on the main roster anytime soon. But also speaking in the realms of look and size CM Punk has a very untraditional build compared to the people that VKM usually likes to promote and push heavily on his programs. I have no doubt whatsoever that he would have fit in much more effectively in TNA. Joe knew that to his credit, but sadly it appears Punk did not.

It would have been such a natural fit for Punk there in the X-Division. He could have continued his war against the "Xtreme wrestlers" by saying publicly that the athletes in the X-division were nothing more than glorified spot monkeys. From there he could have had many great matches and angles with the likes of Christopher Daniels & AJ Styles. But with the path he's on now, he'll be lucky to be Jobbing to Funaki in a few months (especially with some of the "Heat" he's been getting lately). However. the 'Samoan Submission Machine' on the other hand will be soaking up the glory and prestige that he has garnered for himself in TNA for quite some time to come. If TNA were smart they would pay Joe whatever it is he wants in terms of money as he is along with AJ Styles one of their very few true "break out" stars and he is a key component of their future as a successful wrestling entity. So while CM Punk's boss may have the deepest pockets it is Samoa Joe right now who appears to have the brightest future.

Joe for sure, Game, set and match.

Corso - JOE. He's the only one of the 2 I've been given reason to care about.

Morpheus - This question is very close to my heart, as these were two guys that I was saying should be watched closely in 2005. I knew that both men would be moving up in the world, and in the end I was quite right. If you look at this situation from a purely fiscal viewpoint in the immediate sense, I believe that Punk managed to land himself a more lucrative deal in the short term, at least as far as I can guess. However, his exposure on a larger-than-Louisville level has been almost non-existent since jumping to the WWE. Joe, on the other hand, while making a bit less bank right now, has gained a great deal of national exposure to fans who otherwise would never have even known his name. Combined with the impact that he’s made since his TNA debut (no pun intended) and his seeming unstoppable repertoire which is constantly expanding, I have to believe that the better deal was obtained by one SAMOA JOE.

Randomguy#5 - JOE’S GONNA KILL YOU! JOE’S GONNA KILL YOU! Samoa Joe is the new breed of professional wrestling big man. I hate his dreaded cobra clutch, but beyond that I love everything about this guy. Maybe I’m just uniformed because I haven’t seen enough of CM Punk, but I know that a LOT of people have gotten call up shots with WWE lately, and if Punk’s been left down in the minor leagues, it must be for a reason. JOE.

Boss Foxx – JOE. Overall, I think Punk is the better overall performer and did himself well to sign onto WWE. Like it or not, WWE is the big leagues and that's the place where any sane wrestler with goals of actually making a career for themselves aspire to be. Joe has actually edged himself into a more potentially lucrative position though. Punk has nothing to be ashamed of when he looks back on 2005, but Joe has come a long way himself and done it on a national platform to boot. The problem that 2006 poses though is judging how committed TNA is to Joe in the long term, and the same goes for WWE and Punk. WWE has a revolving door policy with wrestlers, and TNA seems more intent on investing on veterans and “names” than building the future talent like Joe. For 2005 though, Joe gets the checkmark.

When considering the history of intimate relationships not only in WWE, but other wrestling organizations, it just doesn't add up to allow yourself to become romantically involved with a co-worker... particularly in the world of sports-entertainment. FACT or FICTION?

Jules - I'm going to go with the unusual route of FICTION on this one. Since it is Valentines Day after-all and I don't want any of the many happy couples out there who are celebrating this joyous holiday of love and romance to think that I am the type of cynical critic who thinks that true love is something that was invented by candy company's to help sell there little heart shaped merchandise. ( of which I have received none this year *sniff, sniff* ) But, ignoring my romantic difficulties and focusing on wrestling for a second, from what I have seen for every failed relationship there has been in wrestling there has also been a small handful of very successful and long lasting duo's as well. Take for example Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, I would find it very difficult to believe that relationship has been anything but beneficial for both parties involved. And I'm not just talking about political powers either. The two of them have been together now as a couple for a good couple of years and have even been able to lead a remarkably happy family life as well. (which is not the easiest thing in the world to pull off for anyone, let alone people who spend half of their lives on the road) The two of them were even recently blessed with the gift of a child. I wish them nothing but the best no matter how much the IWC at large might despise their relationship. They have defied the odds and for that deserve all the accolades in the world.

But it's not just Trips and Steph who have managed to have successful relationships on the road. Take a look at the likes DDP & Kimberly Page and Booker T & Sharmell. Now granted there are plenty of horror stories out there like Stone Cold and Debra as well as Lex Luger and Elizabeth. But I don't see how you can blame wrestling for those poor people's unwise domestic decisions. For it is in every walk of life that couples have disputes and sadly sometimes those disputes can get very ugly. Also some people who have that fatal flaw of entering co-dependent or abusive relationships must be held somewhat accountable for their actions. And also people who have that irritating little habit of committing infidelity would probably be doing so with or without the wrestling business to help them along in the mate finding process. In the immortal words of my dear departed Grand-pappy, "Once a Ho, Always A Ho!"

To answer the question if there are two people who are both employed in the business of sports entertainment who are currently considering taking the plunge, they must make the same decisions about each other that any one of us would have to do when we are selecting a life partner. The key components that factor in are, trust, compatibility, and the attractiveness of that person to you (whether it be physically or mentally.) If you find the right person far be it from any of us to tell you that you are not allowed to be together. I think that we the fans and wrestlers should just let cupid go on with his merry little work and leave the individuals to sort out their own personal problems in the event that their romantic endeavors don't turn out as favorably as they thought they would. By the way, to any single ladies out there who might be reading this, it's never too late to send me some Valentines Day wishes at my email address (mcphersonbilly@hotmail.com) In fact it's strongly encouraged. (makes sad puppy face) But to sum it up, As long as neither party involved in the relationship is MARRIED or involved in a long standing relationship at the present time. Then I can't think of any reasons that justify us telling them that they don't have the right to get jiggy with any friggin' person that they want to no matter what the profession of that person might be.

Corso - FICTION. You get to travel together, you get to spend time working together, and you usually get a push......................................Together.

Morpheus - Man, such a loaded question. There are many instances of this sort of thing causing problems and eventually leading to the destruction of careers and eventual releases. Chyna, anyone? However, overall, it may be argued that sometimes the possibilities that an intra-office relationship provides outweigh the possible negative consequences. Two cases come to mind in particular. Edge Speared Lita, and it netted a Main Event push, gimmick refinement, and WWE Championship reign for the now Rated R Superstar. The situation had its ups and downs for all three people involved, however they all seem to have made out better for it in the long run because of it. Granted, less for Matt Hardy than the other two, but the point still stands. The other case I think of immediately is Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Is there anyone out there who truly believes that was a bad career move on Hunter’s part? That’s what I thought. FICTION with a capital FICTION for this one.

Randomguy#5 - FICTION. Why do relationships have to end when one person dies on a porch swing at the age of 120 before they’re considered a success? Everything ends badly, or it wouldn’t end at all. Relationships are about the journey, the love felt and the experiences gained, not the ultimate outcome. When did this become a dating site?

Boss Foxx – FACT. I guess I'm the ill-romantic here in this motley crew. I'm just not a fan of dating anyone that I work with. As you can tell, I'm speaking from a personal standpoint on this one. Dating a co-worker will more times than not lead to more hardships than what it's worth. While Random says it's all about the journey, and I'm not one to argue that point, the journey can often be a real pain in the ass for both people. Add a public spectrum like WWE or even TNA and you've got a real recipe for disaster. When you look at the number of productive relationships to destructive ones in professional wrestling, I'm surprised more wrestlers aren't like Trish Stratus and just steer clear of dating other wrestlers period... it saves a lot of headaches in the long run.

That's the end for this edition of FoF. But I can't leave you without giving you all the other stolen idea that you love. So here it is... Your Valentine's Day Moment Of Zen.
