Match 1: Romeo (with Antonio) vs. Trevor Murdoch

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Romeo is trying to gain a measure of revenge for his partner after Trevor beat Antonio last week to get a spot in the Rumble match. It's not like I care either way, but I'm guessing that this is the "story" behind this specific match. Two things to note right off the bat are that Tommy Dreamer is filling in for The Coach this week (thank god), and The Heart Throbs come out wearing giant balloon hats on their heads, which they give to some people who are sitting in the front row. Ummm.....ok. Is this supposed to be like The Heart Throbs answer to how Bret Hart used to give out a pair of his "Hitman" sunglasses to some lucky kid in the audience? I can just see the kids now, "Mommy!! Some weird dancing guys with boas around their neck who were thrusting their crotches out a lot stuck a huge balloon hat on my head!!" Amazingly, The Heart Throbs get some mic time, as they try to suck up to the crowd by saying that the hottest chicks they've ever seen are sitting in the crowd tonight. They pick two women near the ring barrier who are semi-hot and who have huge boobs to dance with them for a short time until Murdoch's music interrupts. Damn that Murdoch for stopping the wonder of two metrosexual guys dancing with one semi-decent woman and another who I thought looked like a cross-dresser at first! I do have to give props to Dreamer though, who did mention that the only other WWE superstar who used to come down to the ring with a spit cup like Murdoch has was Skinner back in the early 90's.

The Heart Throbs manage to annoy Trevor in the early parts of the match by staying one step ahead and making sure to thrust their crotches in his face every chance they get just to piss him off a bit more. I will give Murdoch a point with his hilarious attempt to describe the thrusting taunts to the referee. Trevor says "screw this!" and starts to leave, causing Romeo to head out after him but just as he turns Trevor around, Murdoch nails him with a punch in the face. Pretty much a squash match after that, with Murdoch kicking and punching a lot. He finally ends things after delivering a second rope bulldog to Romeo, making the cover, and picking up the win.

    Winner: Trevor Murdoch

Royal Rumble Commercial: Damn, how huge are Stephanie's breasts in that blue dress?

We get a new installment of Matt Striker's classroom. The basic premise of this was that he wasn't going to be part of the Royal Rumble because he doesn't want anything to happen to himself cause it would make the fans really sad. Believe me, there wasn't much more to this segment than this.

"Superstar" Billy Graham DVD promo: I have it on my Netflicks list, but since I was too young to really see a lot of Graham's best stuff, it's not a huge point for me to see it right away.

Match 2: Chavo Guerrero vs. Jason Jones

I wonder if we'll have a battle between Chavo & Rey in the Rumble to determine who will get to dedicate the match to Eddie, as both have done so. A squash match, but a solid one though. Chavo won things with his version of his Uncle Eddie's frog splash. You know, I'd love to see a Chavo/RVD match someday in the near-future. Sorry for being so short on details but there wasn't really much to report during this match.

    Winner: Chavo Guerrero

Edge/Cena Rumble Match Promo: Nothing new to say except that they better leave Edge with the belt, cause Cena doesn't need it at the moment. I think he's better off without the belt, at least for the time being. Besides, Edge is doing a great job as champ, so why not let him continue with it.

Raw Recap: Edge/Masters vs. Cena/Flair. Not a bad match, but I think it would have been better if it was Edge/HHH vs. Cena/Show. Also, it's kinda hard to focus on Edge vs. Cena when they continue to try and push Edge/Flair at us all the time.

Match 3: Snitsky & Tyson Tomko vs. Val Venis & Viscera

Don't expect a great play-by-play on this one, since I only care about one wrestler in this match and that's Val since he's the only GOOD worker in the ring. Basic setup for this match is that Val got beat down a lot by the power moves of Snitsky & Tomko until he could tag out to Viscera. The end came when Snitsky & Tomko had a bit of mis-communication and Snitsky ended up landing the big boot right in Tomko's face. Val took Snitsky over the top rope to the outside, while Viscera came in and nailed the big splash on Tyson to pick up the win.

    Winner: Val Venis & Viscera

Match of the Show: Snitsky/Tomko vs. Venis/Viscera

Overall Thoughts: The WWE didn't really give us a whole lot to work with this week. The Chavo squash match was ok but it was still a squash. Why couldn't he take on someone like Gregory Helms? That would have been a pretty solid match but god forbid if we put anything decent on the webcast shows. I can't get too excited for anything involving Murdoch, The Heart Throbs, Viscera, Snitsky, or Tomko, but at least the last match was watchable and that's all that counts sometimes.
