Plans for SmackDown in 2006 and Royal Rumble notes

• As part of the UPN-WB Network merger that will take place this fall, there has been a lot of mention of WWE SmackDown. The new line-up for the network is set to be released in May so it's likely we'll find out where SmackDown fits into things for 2006. The deal between WWE and UPN expires this September so a new deal will have to be in place by May.
  
  
• Yesterday's Royal Rumble press conference was covered by the Miami Herald which you can read here. The article noted that Rey Mysterio would dedicated his win to Eddie Guerrero if he won the elimination match. Triple H was also quoted as saying the following:
  
  "With respect to Rey Mysterio, I've actually never heard somebody dedicate a loss to somebody If you think that you're going to the Royal Rumble and that you're going to win, I've got news for you. I don't care if Eddie Guerrero reaches down out of the sky and helps you himself -- it's not going to happen."
