The Wrath of Tito - Seriously, why would Triple H cheat on Stephanie?, and more

Ho, ho, ho... Welcome to the Wrath of Tito. I wasn't able to get around to a column this week. It was busy for me for the Christmas season and I've been under the weather lately. It's a good thing this isn't an audio commentary because my voice is gone from a sore throat. Contest wise, you have until MIDNIGHT tonight to answer the 15 questions that you can find from my last 2 columns. Last time I checked, someone had 14 questions correct, but that was last week. I'll check sometime in the near future.

One thing I laugh at is whenever I hear Triple H and Stephanie RUMORS. Recently, backstage gossip (putting that lightly) suggested that Christy Hemme was released personally by Stephanie McMahon's blessing. I guess the story goes that Hemme was showing off backstage to impress Hunter and that she screamed with excitement when someone told her she'd be traveling with the likes of Triple H and Batista on a recent tour. Now, a bunch of internet idiots have already started to spread this rumor thin to the point where they indict Triple H for banging Christy Hemme.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME?!?!?

Why on God's green Earth would Triple H even remotely take that sort of risk? That's like purposely buying the hooker when you know in advance that she has crabs! Triple H knows better and I believe he's a loyal lover. For Christ's sake, he LOVED Chyna before the plastic surgery and was loyal to her through early 2000 before they grew apart (and not from Stephanie, as Chyna has admitted that Triple H didn't cheat... Chyna has changed her story often, which shows you she's trying to place blame or trash Stephanie out of jealousy). I'm one of the few who believes that Triple H's love for Stephanie is genuine. You could just see it on camera between the two. They had instant chemistry and you could see it amping up the second they became a couple. I don't believe HHH married Stephanie from the business standpoint, given his past history of love and dedication to a woman. However, I won't deny that it's a bonus.

Triple H would NOT even risk cheating on Stephanie. Not only is it wrecking his marriage, which I believe he takes pride in and loves Stephanie, but it would be career suicide. The bonus is that HHH is practically a McMahon due to his marriage to Stephanie. As a 5th McMahon, Triple H has been able to shape his career. He has total creative freedom on what to do with the HHH character and Vince McMahon never second guesses him. HHH's seat on the creative team has created a total conflict-of-interest. Instead of being generous as a boss, he's corrupt. He shows bias towards his own character or anyone associated with him. This has been seen throughout time with the Von Erichs, the Harts, the Gagnes, the Watts, Dusty Rhodes, Eric Bischoff, and even the McMahons.

Being in that position of power, Triple H is able to take care of his friends. Two Ohio Valley Wrestling wrestlers became fast friends to Triple H from the moment they jumped from Smackdown to RAW. Both were quickly made into World Champions only to flounder once the titles were there. Their names are Randy Orton and David Batista. Randy Orton was soooooooooo not ready for the spotlight and thanks to HHH's friendship, Orton won the title at Summerslam. The original plan was to have Randy Orton remain champion until Wrestlemania 21 and to have a HUGE HHH vs. Orton match-up. That plan failed quickly within weeks and Triple H cut his losses and moved on to pushing Batista. Batista seemed more ready than Orton, but once Batista turned face, it was all over for him. His in-ring ability has ceased him from ever being a draw with the world title. And look now? Randy Orton, STILL not ready for the title, is getting the push to win the Royal Rumble and face WHO at Wrestlemania 22? Batista. A complete bias towards his friends, yet both HHH pals are not strong main eventers in the least.

HHH has shown bias towards many of his friends (like keeping Sean Waltman on television), but he's also trashed many others. Rob Van Dam, Booker T, and Chris Jericho were NEVER given a chance to shine on television with HHH's backing. When HHH feuded with them, he purposely dogged it and defeated each wrestler with ease to never allow any of the wrestlers to ever gain the spotlight. And what about the Summer of 2003 with HHH's feud with Kevin Nash? MANY capable wrestlers should have been given that shot but HHH's friend, Kevin Nash, was given that chance to absolutely suck it up. There's a reason why the Rock is quick to get out of wrestling since 2000 and that being the fact that HHH is around and influencing everything.

HHH can retire in style, as long as there's no competitive wrestling feds out there challenging the WWE (I'm looking at you, NWA-TNA). He has it made. I have no doubt that he'll break Ric Flair's title record with ease. I also doubt that Shane McMahon will be running the WWE in the future or once Vince is gone. Shane has no backbone to be ruthless enough to run a company. Stephanie, on her own, has that aggressive streak that was definitely inherited from her dad. Shane, meanwhile, is more softspoken like his mother when he's not in character. Backstage, does Shane handle creative decisions or work with wrestlers? NO! Shane McMahon is in charge of WWE media, such as the webpage or maybe the magazines. You could hire anybody out of college to do that kind of job. Shane is not wanted backstage and even Vince McMahon would tell you that. Stephanie is the more Alpha child out of the bunch and she has an aggressive husband to back her up. It should be interesting once Vince is out of the picture (though I don't wish him to die) and the power struggle that may happen. Actually, it won't be a struggle. Shane will willingly hand over the WWE to Stephanie and Triple H.

In closing, Triple H has it made! He has a wife that he very much loves (instead of a crybaby and primadonna like Joanie Laurer/Chyna), and he's into a business situation where he'll enjoy working in the wrestling business for the rest of his life. I believe the first part matters more to him, but marrying into the McMahons was a bonus. Why would he risk all of this for banging Christy "Fivehead" Hemme on the side? That wouldn't make any sense and you idiot marks who are starting shit need to realize that. When HHH is booted off the WWE roster, then you'll know that he cheated on Stephanie. Until then, stop wishing that a loving marriage ends just for the sake of better wrestling. Yeah, I wish Triple H didn't have as much power as he did, but I'm not going to wish an end to a marriage by any means!

    THE BIG FINISH!

-Tonight, Vince McMahon will review Bret Hart's DVD... Why doesn't Vince just create an informercial instead to sell his stuff?

-Shelton Benjamin is being punished for what's perceived as bad backstage behavior? Then just fire him instead of burying him weekly. How can you make fans watch a match when you know a guy is going to lose for sure?

-Best of luck to Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase, who collapsed recently while in Stamford, CT. I sincerely hope he's not another case of "past drug habits contribute to recent death". It's a shame that wrestling doesn't take the moral high ground and show its fans what excessive drug use can do for you.

-Eugene losing his WWE job when his contract expires? Thanks to his excessive drug use, it looks like he'll lose his WWE job. Congrats to that moron. I figure that any promotion out there would be willing to pick up Nick Dinsmore (sp?) and push him as a heel. "THE WWE MADE ME PLAY A RETARD!" Easy as can be for a future booker.

-Sting to NWA-TNA? Gotta love that WCW loyalty! I'll get to more on Sting in a future column.

-I got Jake "the Snake" Roberts's DVD for Christmas (thanks Bro!)... I'll watch that and give you my thoughts in a future column. I figure it HAS to be good, especially since Roberts contributed to the DVD.

-My local area houseshow in Wheeling, WV has changed their Houseshow line-up. It WAS Triple H vs. Ric Flair and Kurt Angle vs. John Cena. That has since been changed to Triple H vs. John Cena and Kurt Angle vs. Kane. So jack off with that newsbyte however you'd like. John Cena will become just another HHH victim by Wrestlemania 22.

-Thanks to the individuals who pointed in the right direction for Ashley Massaro's past Playboy work... thanks to the others who showed me that Candice Michelle did past work for Playboy, too. Make sure you get Candice Michelle's upcoming Playboy spread... HOLY COW! One of the best bodies I've ever seen, period. By the way, I'm NOT sending you pictures or linking you to them. Just run a Google or Yahoo search, that easy.

Hopefully, I'll be back sometime later this week for a Year in Review/Tito Awards column, as well as unveiling the Trivia Contest winner.
