TNA News: Even more on Sting's return, Samoa Joe's contract status, more

-- Although Sting will be at the 1/3/06 TNA iMPACT tapings, it is not a certainty that he will be debuting on the show. Many are pushing to keep Sting off TV until the Final Resolution PPV, so his appearance at the tapings might be in the way of a mysterious vignette or voiceover on the sound system.

-- Samoa Joe and TNA are in the process of renegotiating the financial end of his contract. Although he's signed to a one-year deal, his agreement was drawn in a way that allowed him to command more money if his initial run with the company took off. Since it unequivocally has been a big success so far, the feeling is that he definitely should be entitled to a raise.

TNA, however, is said to be playing hardball with regards to giving Joe a substantial increase in his salary. One variable that might inevitably lead them to give in, however, is the fact that Samoa Joe's stock has been raised to the point where he has a larger position on WWE's radar. If things with TNA and Joe were to fall apart, the company could risk losing one of its freshest talents to the competition.
