The Smackdown! Report (12/09/05): Match 3 in the Best-of-Seven
Submitted by Chad Matthews on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 10:18 AM EST

My apologies for the abbreviated and tardy SD recap this week...We've had bad weather here (which I'm not used to having lived in the south for last 21 and a half years prior to last August), we've had grad. school finals, and on top of that we had internet problems last night...

    SD Report (12/09/05)

The show opened with Orton being cocky, but still being afraid of the Undertaker...several odd and, from the sound of it, stupid things happened in this feud tonight, continuing where they left off last week. Orton kept seeing Taker (and other strange happenings such as his dad's head bleeding), but he really wasn't seeing anything...

    Rey Mysterio vs. JBL
-The finish came when OJ interfered and gave Rey the win via DQ. A beatdown ensued, but Batista made the save...all this stuff leads to a tag team main-event involving those four.

    Mercury vs. Super Crazy
-Crazy gets the win, but after the match MNM and none other than Kid Kash (who I believe has yet to be used on SD in any way yet before tonight) gave the Mexicools a little beatdown. Kash looks as if he'll be facing Juve for the CW title at Armageddon, adding another solid bout to what's shaping up to be the best Armageddon card in numerous years.

    The Boogeyman vs. Ray Gordy
    -Boogeyman wins...

Booker T vs. Chris Benoit in match 3 of the Best of Seven
-Booker gets yet another victory over Benoit. I got an email from a guy a couple of weeks ago who predicted this is what would happen (before the series even started). If that guy would email me again, then I'll be sure to give you credit for predicting the "Sox" like comeback if Benoit wins the last 4.

    Lashley vs. William Regal
-Lashley beat Regal in Bobby's most competitive squash.

Batista and Mysterio vs. OJ and JBL
-JBL does his little walking out on his partner routine again and leaves OJ to the wolves (not that I care). OJ's sorry, un-talented hyde gets his sorry untalented hyde handed to him and the show ends. No Show and Kane to hype the feud tonight...

All in all...email me if i'm wrong, but this didn't sound like too much to be disappointed about not seeing. Armageddon looks like a solid PPV, though. That PPV normally sucks so bad that it makes you question you're fan-hood, but this year's edition looks pretty good. I'll say this about Orton-Taker...the feud may be a little crazy and downright stupid at times, but I guarentee you that match is going to kick ass. If Trips and Batista can get close to four-stars in their HIAC, Orton and Taker can...
