TNA Impact Report 10-29-05
Submitted by Chad Perry on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at 8:15 PM EST

Okay so this is about the second show I have done this for and feedback is welcomed and appreciated. I will respond to any feedback at lifesateamsport1@aol.com. You never have to worry about spoilers unless I warn you and I don't read TNA spoilers so we should be set.

iMPACT! kicks of by showing a short video package with some clips from Bound For Glory last Sunday night. They show the unbelievable dive by Jeff Hardy onto Abyss, Sabin & Bentley falling from the X wire, Rhino goring Jeff Jarrett, and then Rhino celebrating the win.

"The Monster" Abyss vs. "The Ticked of Texan" Lance Hoyt
Abyss is brought to the ring by James Mitchell. Brawling right off the start. Hoyt with a nice palancha onto Abyss. Man for a big guy Hoyt sure can fly. Abyss choke slams Hoyt but does not go for the cover, instead he gets a chair from Mitchell. Abyss goes to use the chair and Hoyt boots it back into the face of Abyss. First cover of the match, 1-2-Mitchell pulls Hoyt out.
Hoyt chases Mitchell around the ring. Back in the ring Hoyt runs into the black hole slam, 1-2-3.

WINNER: "The Monster" Abyss (W/James Mitchell) @ 3:44 via pin fall

    AFTERMATH:
Mitchell hands Abyss a bag full of tacks. The lights go out and Sabu appears with a towel wrapped around his right arm. Sabu pulls the towel off and his arm is wrapped in barbed wire. You could literally see the blood on Sabu's arm from doing this. It looked pretty sick. Abyss leaves the ring looking frightened. The two will face of at Genesis with no DQ rules.

Still To Come: 3 Live Kru vs. AMW
Still To Come: Comments from Team 3D

Back from commercial with Tenay and West hyping a special two-hour edition of iMPACT! That will air this Thursday night on SpikeTV at 9:00 PM/ET. Jarrett comes out with Larry Zybyszko and announces he will get his NWA World title re-match against Rhino on the show.

Jerrelle Clark vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels
Yeah we get to see Daniels tonight, boo we have to see Clark tonight. Not much to talk about in this one. Daniels hit's a nice STO. Clark hit a springboard moonsault off the middle rope, cover 1-2-Daniels kicks out. Daniels hit's the Angels Wings, and like Don West said it's academic 1-2-3.

WINNER: "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels @ 2:30 by pin fall.

Still To Come: Comments from Team 3D
Up Next: X Division Tag Team Action

    ***COMMERCIAL***

Back from commercial and Shane Douglas (who is great as a backstage interviewer I must say) is with Raven. He talks about how it must be killing Raven to not be getting the title shot. Cassidy Riley says it is eating Raven up. Riley tells Raven he is smarter then all of them and then says that maybe Rhino is right, she is getting to your head. Raven slaps Riley and walks off.

Alex Shelley & Roderick Strong vs. Sonjay Dutt & TNA X Division Champ "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles
Shelley and Strong are no strangers to each other. The two were both members of Generation Next in ROH, until they spilt from Shelley. I don't know why Tenay didn't mention that. Shelley and AJ start off. AJ tags in Sonjay. Sonjay hit's the sprinkler on Shelley, first cover of the match 1-2-NO. Strong is tagged in and has some back and fourth action with Dutt.

    ***COMMERCIAL***

We're back and Scott D'Amore with Petey Williams are at the announcing table. D'Amore says it's bull that TNA is making Petey fight in the ultimate x again. D'Amore storms off backstage and back to focusing on the in ring action. Shelley and Strong have isolated Dutt from AJ. Dutt finally gets the hot tag. Dutt and Shelley brawl to the outside. AJ with the Styles Clash on Strong, 1-2-3.

WINNERS: Sonjay Dutt & TNA X Division Champ "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles @ 6:13 TV time via pin fall.

Morphoplex move of the night: AJ giving the Styles Clash to Strong.

Backstage: The 3 Live Kru are in Larry's office demanding another match against the Canadians (who by the way I love). Kip James walks in and Larry says that at Genesis Team Canada will take on the 3LK. Kip says that there is still the problem of D'Amore and that's why he will be the special guest referee. Just like last Sunday BG and Ron like the idea and Konnan hates it. K-Dawg gets in Kip's face as he leaves.

Still To Come: Comments from Team 3D

    ***COMMERCIAL***

NWA Tag champs America's Most Wanted vs. The 3 Live Kru
This is a non-title match, AMW was brought to the ring by Gail Kim, B.G. James and Ron Killings will be representing the 3LK with Konnan on the outside.

The Truth takes one of AMW's cowboy hats and mocks them. (Is this going to be his gimmick when these 3 break up? At BFG he was mocking Samoa Joe's heritage.) Harris & Storm cut the ring off and keep Killings on their side. Killings gets the tag to BG. Harris goes for the cat-a-tonic on BG, he reverses and goes for the pump handle. Gail gets on the ring apron and distracts James, Konnan chases her up the ramp. Coming down the other ramp is D'Amore with Kip James right behind him. Kip grabs the flag on the hockey stick from Scott and gives it to BG. BG goes to hit Storm with it, but Harris grabs it and distracts BG. Storm hit's the super kick and covers BG 1-2-3.

WINNERS: NWA Tag champs America's Most Wanted @ 4:03 by pin fall.

AFTERMATH: Konnan yells at Kip James again.

BACKSTAGE: A vehicle arrives and who's inside? Team 3D, they are NEXT!

    ***COMMERCIAL***

Brother Ray and Brother Devon are on their way to the ring. Ray gets on the mic and says that everyone should give a standing ovation to Team 3D's new favorite tag team… America's Most Wanted. He says they did something no one in 10 years has ever been able to do, but they didn't finish it and that was a mistake.

Ray says he heard about the funeral (which by the way was a hilarious and VERY well produced segment 2 weeks ago) and how the attendees disrespected them with beer drinking and pissing in their casket.

He says they know who was their and that Team 3D will get all of them at some point. Ray says that AMW are public enemy number one. Ray gives the mic to Devon and I am loving this segment.

Devon challenges Team Canada to a match THIS Thursday night (on SpikeTV 9-11 PM/ET). D'Amore comes out and says they don't have to wait. Roode and Young head to the ring, but coming down the other ramp is Petey Williams and A1. It's 5 on 2.. But here comes the Kru to make it 5 on 5. Ray and Devon give a 3D to Team Canada's A1. Then out comes Jarrett and AMW. It's now AMW, Jarrett and D'Amore beating on the former Dudley Boyz (oops that's copyrighted, sue me Vince). The crowd is chanting Rhino, ask and you shall receive. The NEW NWA champion Rhino runs to the ring and Tenay says they are out of time and says he will see us this Thursday (on SpikeTV from 9-11 PM/ET).

    ***END OF SHOW***

Overall a good show. The last segment was great, as Team 3D has really been reborn after being so stale in WWE and as I said I love Team Canada.

So the card for this Thursday night's 2 hour broadcast of TNA iMPACT on SpikeTV from 9-11 PM/ET looks like this:

NWA World title match- Rhino © vs. Jeff Jarrett
Ultimate X re-match- Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin vs. Matt Bentley
Team 3D vs. Team Canada's Eric Young & Bobby Roode
AJ styles, Sonjay Dutt & Austin Aries vs. Chris Daniels, Samoa Joe (why is
he on the heel team?) & Alex Shelley
Jeff Hardy, Sabu & Lance Hoyt vs. The Diamonds in the Rough
Plus more to be added I'm sure

The card for TNA Genesis (November 13 on PPV) looks like this:
Rhino & Team 3D vs. AMW & Jeff Jarrett
NWA title #1 contender's match- Monty Brown vs. Jeff Hardy
    No-DQ match- Abyss vs. Sabu

So that's all for this week and be sure to catch TNA iMPACT! on primetime this Thursday night on SpikeTV at 9:00 PM/ET.
