  • Thanks to A Goins, Jr. for sending in the following recap:

Thought you guys would love a recap of John Cena and his adventures at Martinsville. Cena was the special guest during "Wally's World" in the prerace show for the race at Martinsville.

Cena rode shotgun while NBC Commentator and former driver Wally Dallenbach turned some hot laps around the tightest short track in NASCAR. They cracked jokes with each other, including mentioning how Quentin Tarrantino was frightened when Wally took him out for some hot laps at Bristol (another short track). Cena seemed a little afraid of being inches away from the concrete walls while going 90-100 mph. Cena was decked out in a firesuit and rode with the WWE Championship in his grasps.

Afterwards, Cena and Dallenbach had an "altercation" with pit reporter Marty Synder. Synder was lifted up into the "FU" position while Dallenbach told Synder "You can't see me" and did the little hand gesture that goes with that. It looked like Cena had trouble lifting Synder, which led to jokes throughout the race about how big Synder is getting.

Later on in the race, they reshowed the incident and hype RAW and Taboo Tuesday. All in all, a fun segment and good press and publicity for the WWE. Cena was very oer with the commentators who said he was "a good man."
