CWF Mid-Atlantic Live Action this Saturday in Henderson, NC

CWF MID-ATLANTIC LIVE ACTION THIS SATURDAY IN HENDERSON, NC
CWF Mid-Atlantic presents a full card of wrestling action at the
Raleigh Road Drive-In in Henderson, NC this Saturday, September
24th, with a special 5:00pm belltime. Enjoy great food and great
action until the sun sets then enjoy a great movie on the big
screen! All bouts are sanctioned by the AWA, the American Wrestling
Association.
Mid-Atlantic legend and 5-time World Champion, "Pride of the USA"
Don Kernodle will be making a special appearance for this event.
Kernodle will be available for photos and autographes for all fans
in attendance.
The main event will pit everyone's favorite, Rob "The Boogie Woogie
Man" McBride against the hated "Madd Trucker" Garry Stevens for the
AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. Stevens was originally
scheduled to defend against McBride at last week's AWA Mid-Atlantic
SuperClash. However Stevens declared he was not ever going to be
second fiddle to Ric Converse who was in the main event against
Steve Corino for the AWA World Hwt. Title. AWA Championship
Coordinator Michael McAllister agreed that the Mid-Atlantic Champ
should be in the main event if he was defending the title and moved
the contest to Henderson.
"The Boogie Woogie Man" has proven in the past that he can defeat
any man and is more than ready to add the prestigious belt "for his
peoples." Meanwhile Stevens, even more bitter than ever, has stated
that McBride is going to be just another bug squashed on the Madd
Trucker's windshield. Expect this to be one brutal battle, and in
the setting of a wide open drive-in theatre... anything could happen!
Also on the line will be the AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles. The
champions, The $outh$ide Playas will defend their belts against the
unique pairing of Julius Augustus & Mikael "Box Office Draw" Yamaha
with manager Brad Stutts. Stutts had previously secured a tag team
championship opportunity for his stable of Yamaha & "Dangerous E"
Corey Edsel. But with Edsel AWOL since losing to Brass Munkey in a
deadly stretcher match, Yamaha was left without a partner. Enter
Julius Augustus, who recently formed a tag team with newcomer
Marcellus King and the two-some were granted a tag team title shot
last Saturday as part of the Mid-Atlantic SuperClash. Augustus was
in an automobile accident en route to the SuperClash event and
though he escaped uninjured, he did not arrive to the Carolina
Sports Arena in time for the match.
Championship Coordinator McAllister has placed Augustus in this
week's tag team championship defense since he missed out on the
opportunity he & King had earned with a non-title victory over the
Playas. So this Saturday the most decorated tag team in CWF Mid-
Atlantic history will defend against an unlikely duo who have never
teamed together before in "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha & "Flex
Phenomonal" Julius Augustus. With "Fatback" and McAllister seemingly
working together to stack the deck against the Playas, this
seemingly makeshift tag team has acquired a golden opportunity for
this Saturday's event.
Plus brand-new Mid-Atlantic Television Champion "A Very Handsome
Man" Mitch Conner, "Slick Diddy" Ric Converse, Brass Munkey, "El
Fuego" Jesse Ortega, Alex Adonis and Brass Munkey all in action!
Remember the special start time of 5:00 PM this Saturday night at
the Raleigh Road Drive-In in Henderson as CWF Mid-Atlantic marches
on the Road to the Rumble!
