Dark match: Dennis Knight pins Antonio Banks.

Conway pins Matt Striker

Kerwin White forces Tajiri to tap out.

Eugene pins Swinger

Viscera and Val Venis defeat Heart Throbs.


Post-Raw match: Cena and Big Show defeated Kurt Angle and Snitsky. Good 10- to 15-minute match, Cena very entertaining on the ring apron. Show was actually very over too. Match ended with Cena pinning Snitsky and Show pinning Angle at the same time. note: very little Cena vs. Angle in the match. The main wrestling was Show vs. Angle and was solid.

Raw notes:

Tampa was by no means overly pro-HBK, as the arena was full of Hogan marks. No negative cheering however. I'm sure you could tell on tv that the crowd was NOT into HBK vs. Masters and Carlito. Without commercial break(s), this match ran very long.

Crowd way into Hardy vs. Edge. "Holy shit" chant reached at least 15 rounds after the stage spot. Hardy grew on fans as the match went on. (note: this match certainly seemed to re-build at least Tampa's interest in Matt Hardy and the feud.)

Biggest pops:
1. Cena (by far)
2. HBK (much less than Cena - again, Tampa/Hogan factor, I think)
3. Flair
4. Big Show

Biggest heat:
1. Angle
2. There really wasn't a close second.

Very little heat for Carlito and Masters.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency, where many wrestlers and staff stayed. There were about ten people in the lobby waiting for them to arrive after the show. They trickled in over the course of a few hours. J.R. and Lawler were both very courteous, as was Coach, who arrived much later. Angle came in very soon after the show and looked very tired, and he was quick but very cool. Triple H was very upset about something and blew everyone off, Stephanie even apologized, and in a VERY cool move, Vince told them to "go on up, I'll be right there," and stuck around after HHH and Steph took the elevator up, and he signed autographs and took pictures with everyone before going up himself.
