  • Prior to the Summerslam PPV, WWE management held a meeting with RAW and Smackdown crews. Several new rules were enforced on the crew, including the banning of any video games being played. An announcement was also made that if wrestlers need flight and hotels booked for personal use through the office, they would now have a credit card on file with the office. The significance of that being that in the past, WWE has made a service available to performers when they can have office take care of their travel arrangements, which are then deducted from payroll.

Management also talked up the roster, saying there are several big international tours coming up. Management also stressed the importance of selling during matches and interestingly cited a recent tape of Hardcore Holly vs. Steven Richards, putting over Richards for his working and pointing out that he made Holly look good that that is exactly what they are looking for talent to do in their matches.
