WWE House Show Results from Fort Lauderdale, Florida 8-27-05

Pretty good show as I sat fourth row on the floor on what would have been the hard camera side.

Eugene def. Tyson Tomko with a stunner. Good opening match with many comedic spots.

Eric Bischoff came out and announced the matches for the night and said Matt Hardy was banned from the arena.

Chris Masters def. Val Venis with the Master Lock. Stretched out squash. Before the match, Masters said that Hurricane Katrina was nature's way of wiping the scum (South Florida) off the earth.

The Hurricane and Rosey def. The Heart Throbs to retain the World Tag Team Titles when Rosey threw Hurricane onto Antonio as a splash. Good tag team title match, but its sad to see what the tag team division has become.

Kerwin White def. Tajiri. Very slow match considering to the participants. It seems like Chavo's new character has weakened his wrestling.

Viscera def. Snitsky with a big splash. Very boring match.

Torrie Wilson def. Victoria with a rollup. Both girls looked good, but it was a boring match as Torrie didn't sell anything right.

20 minute intermission.

Carlito's Cabana with Candice Michelle. Carlito said he liked South Florida because it reminded him of the Caribbean with the weather, beaches, and gorgeous girls. Candice came out and did her Go Daddy dance. Carlito asked her if she would be his daddy, but she said no. Then he put an apple on the ground and asked her to pick it up, but she said no again, so he got mad. After she swung at him, he backed her into a corner until Ric Flair's music hit. He chopped and punched Carlito out of the ring. Candice then kissed Flair and he did his usual fall.

Big Show def. Edge w/Lita with a chokeslam. Before the match Edge came out and said he put Matt Hardy on life support and that he would have no opponent, so he said that he and Lita said would get out of this hick town. As they were leaving the ring, Big Show's music hit. Big Show hit two good overhand chops on Edge while the arena was completely quiet. Pretty good match. After the match, Lita backed up into Big Show and he kissed her.

John Cena def. Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels in a Three Way Dance to retain the WWE Title after he hit the FU on Angle. Great match by all three which featured an Angle Slam on both men and an Angle Lock on HBK. Cena went around after and signed a few things.

Overall it was a good show. Many undercard matches, but the great main event made up for most of it.
