Kimberly Page Speaks Out - Talks Wrestling, Trading Cards and more
Submitted by Daniel Pena on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 12:57 AM EST

Former WCW bombshell Kimberly Page posted a message on her official website kimberlypage.com to catch people up on what she's been doing lately. She even made mention of legendary wrestling monsters in Abdullah The Butcher, Warlord, The Barbarian and Road Warrior Animal in her post!

Kimberly's been involved in some wrestling activities as of late as she made an appearance at a wrestling convention last month in New Jersey. She also helped promote a Gladiator Championship Wrestling show that takes place in Puerto Rico on Saturday, July 23. Kimberly is very much involved with entertainment nowadays but she hasn't totally forgetten her wrestling roots.

Kimberly also makes note of the fact that she'll be appearing on those "Bench Warmer" trading cards in which models and fitness celebs appear on. I think some people are familiar with those cards.

In the most interesting part of Kimberly's message, she mentions the name of her "pal" Tammy Sytch, who she saw at the NJ wrestling convention last month. Some people may remember some wild WCW rumors from five years ago about Kimberly finding a drug syringe in the women's bathroom and Kimberly telling management that it was Tammy's. That incident ultimately led to Tammy's departure from WCW, guilty or not-guilty. It looks like these stellar 90's wrestling women have let bygones be bygones.

Also note, Tammy Sytch put the reunion in WrestleReunion as she was seen schmoozing with her former client Ron Simmons (Farooq) at the same convention. You may remember Tammy bringing him to the WWF all the while he was wearing that infamous blue headgear for a few months back in 1996.

    Anyways, here is Kimberly's message....

Greetings, friends, family and business associates!

I hope you celebrated a terrific Independence Day and that your summer is going well.

I have been an intrepid traveler lately; I spent the weekend of June 18 in Cartaret, NJ at Thomas Rivera's WrestleReunion. Not only did I get to see hundreds of fans and relive some great memories from my WCW days, I got a chance to visit with some pals - Tammy Sytch, Abdullah the Butcher and Ron Simmons, to name a few.

I spent the next couple of days in New York City, seeing a spectacular performance of Glengarry Glen Ross (starring Alan Alda and Liev Shreiber - one of my favorite actors who I happen to have a HUGE crush on right now!), and wandering the halls of the Museum of Natural History. What a nice way to spend a weekend!

Upon my return to LA, I shot for a trading card company called Benchwarmers. They create collectible cards of Playboy Playmates, fitness models and celebs. You'll be able to buy them soon, but here's a preview.

Soon I was eastward bound once more; this time, I headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico to help promote Gladiator Championship Wrestling's upcoming event on July 23. It was a busy weekend with visits to a local children's hospital, IBW event and even a church outing (imagine seeing Animal, the Warlord and Barbarian, in full face paint, commanding the
pulpit!) but I got in a little free time, too! The photos here are beside a waterfall in El Yunque National Rainforest, and atop the Castillo del San Juan fortress.

The coming weeks promise interesting work and travel: various auditions and callbacks, a trip back to Puerto Rico for GCW, then a trip to Toronto to film an infomercial for a product called Form Shaper. I'm also working with producers to acquire financing for a film currently
entitled Tripwire, which slates me for the lead. Here's the poster, but any potential financing entities who would like to see the treatment should email my management (kimberly@kimberlypage.com).

    Be well!

    Kimberly
