Major Matt Hardy update: WWE offer expected, TNA, more

In an extensive update, PWInsider.com reports that WWE contacted Matt Hardy a few days before the wedding angle on RAW, urging him to give them a chance to prepare an offer. WWE is well aware of the fact that TNA has expressed interest in Matt Hardy, and wants to at least take a shot at signing Hardy before he makes any decisions.

It is common knowledge that Hardy is contemplating an offer to debut at TNA's 'No Surrender' PPV on 7/17.

Although it is not a certainty that WWE will strike a new deal with Hardy, the company has been blown away by the crowd reaction he's gotten and sees money-making potential in a feud between Matt Hardy and Edge. Thus, it wants more time to consider reaching out with an offer.

Even if Hardy does not sign with WWE, he is currently in hot demand on the indy circuit; sources report he's asking for as much as $3000 a night. As long as companies properly utilize the publicity wave he received during the situation with Edge and Lita, he's almost sure to be a box office success for promotions, be it Ring Of Honor, TNA or WWE.
