Major JBL/Blue Meanie update, Wrestlers comment, Did Meanie start the fight?

While the JBL-Meanie situation was the talk of the lockerroom all week, sources state that very few, if any, JBL supporters emerged. "He was staring down Blue Meanie from the second he entered the ring," says one wrestler. "There is no doubt in my mind that he was fuming from what Paul Heyman said about him, and he took it out on the weakest target he could find."

Although JBL continues to claim he acted in self-defense, and it's impossible to prove whether or not he's tellling the truth, most do not believe it would be in Meanie's nature to throw the first punch. Of course, one source noted that when the WWE and ECW wrestlers were facing off in the ring, Meanie did "trash talk" JBL; but only to the extent of JBL having "s*** in his cowboy hat." It was not brutal dialogue by any means.

As reported, WWE does take the incident seriously, although many were concerned about the fact that Vince didn't punish JBL. Considering one wrestler called it a "mugging" and a breaking of the trust between wrestlers, the feeling is that Vince needed to come down harder on Bradshaw.
