Fan reports from the WWE Smackdown Tapings (Spoilers inside)

LOP Reader Krista sent this in after attending the Smackdown tapings in Phoenix, Arizona last night

Dark Match:
It was Scotty 2 Hotty and Shannon Moore vs. Garrison Cade and (I believe)Trevor Rhodes, who seemed to have some cowboy tag team gimmick (perhaps called TNT). Scotty recieved some of the biggest pops of the night, which is as usual for an Arizona crowd. Scotty & Shannon picked up the win, and
the crowd popped big and Cade and Rhodes remained in the ring and got a deserving chorus of boos.

Velocity Taping:
Rene Dupree vs. Unknown Jobber
Rene is sporting a new look, which I haven't seen before this match. He's got black hair, black sideburns and a little strange black mustache. I don't care for the mustache, but he does look more "french" I suppose. He
came out and spoke a lot of french, the crowd erupted with booing and "USA" chants. Rene did the French Tickler, which prompted even more booing. Dupree won, the crowd booed while he showed off, and Dupree also talked some smack to fans in the crowd who were flipping him off.

Booker T vs. Billy Kidman
Booker got a tremendous pop, and was accompanied to the ring by Sharmell. Lots of fans holding their hands up like the 5 time WCW champion. Kidman got some heat. Spin-a-rooni got a huge pop too. After Booker won, he stood in the ring with Sharmell as the crowd cheered.

Orlando Jordan vs. Nunzio
Jordan got some pretty good heat. Nunzio got a decent pop, and there were Nunzio and ECW chants all over the place. Basic match, Jordan got the win and got some more heat.

Benoit vs. Unknown Jobber
Benoit won this match quickly with the crossface. He got a big pop, but there wasn't much to this match.

Smackdown Taping:
The show started off with Randy Orton who got a mixed reaction from the crowd. He showed a video of him RKO-ing Taker last week. Then another video plays, it's Taker giving Orton the tombstone. Orton is frantic and the crowd is cheering. The ring begins filling with fog which got a huge pop. The lights went out and Taker was in the ring when they came back on. The crowd went wild for this, and Orton ran out of the ring and almost got hit by a lightening bolt while on the ramp.

Joey Mercury vs. Heidenreich
A video was shown of Melina making fun of Heidenreich from last week. The video got booed. Lot's of people yelling "bitch" at Melina in the crowd. Heidenreich came out to a tremendous pop, I was disappointed that there were no friends or disasterpieces. Michelle got a small pop when she came down to the ring to hit Melina. Mercury got the pin, which the crowd did not like.

Melina is on the tron saying she wants a match against Michelle next week. This should be good, although I personally haven't seen Melina wrestle - and Michelle is VERY green.

JBL is shown knocking on Teddy Long's door. He asks if the draft pick is in there and tries to get Teddy to tell who it is. He mentions that Long is going to have a new Smackdown! Championship. I found that to be really odd.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Paul London (Cruiserweight Championship)
Chavo got some heat, and some cheers as in Tucson, Arizona, the latino wrestlers seem to be well loved. London came out to a great pop. Heard some "Chavo Sucks" chants going around, but nothing big. I was looking forward to this match, but it got interupted by Juvi, Super Crazy and Psicosis. They came out on a lawn mower or something, wearing various red, white and green outfits and carrying a Mexican flag. They beat up Chavo & London and then
announced that they were the "Mexicools" Juvi was on the mic, but to be honest I could understand very little of what he was saying. They got a lot of heat, and some cheers. No winner as far as I know.

JBL comes to the ring to his usual heat and "YOU SUCK" chants and what not. He gets in the ring and says he is the Smackdown! Champion, it's his show, he is a wrestling god, ect. Booker T comes down and as JBL is saying something to him, Booker takes the mic and challenges him to a Smackdown!
Championship match. Benoit and Big Show came to the ring and also demanded a match. Booker, Big Show and Benoit all got pretty good pops. Teddy Long comes down and says they will have a 5 way match for the title, and the fifth man will be The Undertaker *HUGE POP* Then, Muhammad Hassan's music hits and he comes down to the ring accompanied by Daivari. They got probably the biggest heat of the night, with USA chants starting up almost immediatly. They are the 3rd draft pick. Hassan runs his mouth about how he had the most impressive undefeated streak on Raw and that all of the wrestlers in the ring hate him because he is different. He goes through
each wrestler and tells them they've never beaten him and they never will. The boos are unbelievable here. He says he can beat the Big Show any time. Hassan and Daivari both end up on the floor as the other wrestlers boot them out of the ring. Teddy says Hassan will have a match against Big Show
RIGHT NOW.

Big Show vs. Hassan w/ Daivari
Hassan gets the win over Big Show, crowd is upset. On a side note, I got threatened by some guy for cheering for Hassan and Daivari. Sometimes I really dislike wrestling fans.
Hassan will be involved in the match for the Smackdown! Championship, making it a 6 Man match. I'm glad, they need to do something to make up for that atrocious match he had against Cena on Raw.

Throughout the show, the titan tron shows Rey Mysterio and the crowd pops huge every time.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio probably got the biggest pops of the night. There were a lot of "Eddie Sucks" chants as well as "EDDIE" chants. The crowd seemed very torn on whether they liked Eddie or not. There were a ton of "Rey Rey" chants, mostly from people trying to overpower the people who were cheering for Eddie. 619 chants everywhere. Rey almost got the 619 several times and the entire crowd would get on their feet and cheer. After Eddie lost the match, there were a lot of "YOU CANT WIN" chants at him. He stood in the middle of
the ring and got such a mixed reaction of cheers and boos. He got on the mic and called all of the mexicans in the crowd WET BACKS. This prompted A LOT of booing.
