  • In a very sad bit of news, Indy wrestler Dan Quirk, who worked under the gimmick name of "Spider", died last night after suffering fatal injuries during an attempt to catch his opponent's moonsault at a Ultimate Championship Wrestling event in Taunton, MA. Several reports claim that Quirk took the full brunt of his opponent's weight, which caused him to go crashing down to the floor headfirst. As soon as this happened, Quirk was immediately out with blood visible on the floor. An ambulance was called for and the match stopped, but all efforts to revive Quirk were unsuccessful. Dan Quirk was only 22 years old.

All of us here at LOP would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dan Quirk during this time of mourning.
