  • WWE wrestlers wreck sofa owned by Musketeers

WWE wrestlers just didn't toss each other around at the Gateway Arena May 17 -- they also heaved a sofa over a security fence and wrecked it.

"We had cleaned a room for them to use," Glenn Walinski, events center facilities manager, told the Convention Center/Auditorium/Tourism Board Friday. "We had locked up the equipment and furniture" from the Musketeers' locker room to be used by the male wrestlers participating in the WWE televised event.

After the show was over, Walinski said he walked into the dressing room and discovered a davenport in the middle of the room.

"It was ripped in three our four main spots. I really don't know how it got there, but I have my suspicions."

He later said it wouldn't have been hard for some beefy wrestlers to climb over the metal fence and lift the davenport over the top. The sofa could have been ripped on the top of the fence. But, he acknowledged, no one saw it happen and no one reported the damage.
