Report sent in by Nick C

I was at the tapings tonight in Milwaukee. Here's the rundown:

    Velocity:

Scotty 2 Hotty d. CM Punk
    Bashams d. Nunzio/Funaki
    Kidman d. Shannon Moore
    Booker T d. Jobber
    Orlando Jordan d. Mark Jindrak

This was exciting because each match had a special guest ring announcer. Miss Jackie, Joy, Michelle McCool, and finally Torrie. Joy was screaming everything...just lovely.

    Smackdown:

Smackdown opens with the Cabana. The guest? Carlito. He's interviewing himself because he made Judgement Day cool. He says he can beat Big Show any day of the week, so Teddy Long comes out and says that's tonight.

Teddy also announces a battle royal for tonight, the winner getting to pick their opponent next week.

    Paul London d. Chavo Gurerrero

This match got several boring chants. London worked a rib injury the entire match, and Chavo sucks to begin with. During one leap from the ropes, London lost his Warrior tassles. London won with a botched roll up.

Josh Matthews interviews Rey. Rey says Eddie should have taken his life because as long as he's breathing, he's going to make Eddie pay.

Hardcore Holly + Charlie Haas d. MNM w/ Melina

Charlie gets beat on the entire match, Hardcore makes the save. End comes with Nitro cracks Hardcore with a chair. Charlie chases Melina around a bit...they all go to the back.

John Cena comes out to a monster pop. I tuned most of it out. I love people...blah blah...JBL is a quitter...blah blah. JBL comes out and admits that Cena is a great champion, but he's going to burn out, and when he does, JBL is going to pick up the pieces.

Cena says he had something for JBL, but wasn't going to give it to him because he interrupted. After some back and forth, it's a tribute video to JBL's legacy. It's a few frames from his entrance video, then footage of him saying I quit a bunch. That's it.

Big Show d. Carlito w/ Matt Morgan

Slow going until Morgan gets tossed. Carlito wants to go with him, but when Lil Hebner forces Carlito back to the ring, he freaks. Show wins with the chokeslam. After the match, Morgan came back and booted Show to the floor. After that, he hit his version of the F5 on Show through the announce table. That was actually really cool. Several "holy shit" chants, and they were well deserved. Anytime show is picked up and slammed like that, it's impressive.

    Kurt Angle d. Jobber

This was the Angle invitational. Before the match, Angle gets on the mic and briefly talks about Judgement Day. After that, he starts complaining about ECW. He says like Bischoff on Raw, he's leading a group of wrestlers into the PPV and ruining it. He starts talking to Tazz and says he's going to bounce ECW like Paul Heyman bounces checks. That led to Tazz taking off his glasses, sitting there, and giving Kurt a mean look.

Kurt Angle then destroys the jobber in about a minute. He gets back on the mic and says start the battle royal.

Kurt Angle wins the battle royal by eliminating Rey Mysterio. Rey was the last one out for the battle royal, but he was jumped by Eddie in the entrance way and laid out with a chair.

The battle royal had most of the lower card. No Cena, Taker, JBL, Big Show, guys like that. The comical factor was Matt Morgan pushing Carlito back in the ring whenever someone had him on the top rope. Morgan also pulled Shannon Moore and someone over, but Booker dumped Carlito right after that.

Booker T took out the entire cabinet in about 10 seconds, then got dumped by Angle. Rey had run out in the middle of the match, took out Eddie, and that was that.

Angle and Rey put on a great little match, teasing the finish beautifully. The actual finish came when Rey hit the 619 on Angle. He was going for that springboard legdrop when Angle hit a low blow, then Angle Slam-med him over the top.

Angle then gets on the mic and says he's been without something for a long time, and he's obsessed with it. John Cena...next week I'm giving you the night off. Booker T? Next week...it'll be Kurt Angle versus Booker T's wife Sharmell.

This prompted Booker to run out, do a horribly slow beat down on Angle, and that was the end of the show.

The special main event of Orlando Jordan/JBL against Cena didn't happen. People were actually kind of pissed, well, the ones near me.

    Biggest Pops:

    1) Cena
    2) Rey Mysterio
    3) Scotty 2 Hotty

    Biggest Heat:

All the heels pretty much got it. Nothing was really noticable.
