Goldberg tears apart WWE; Talks about Sting/Triple H, more Submitted by Brian Cantor on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 7:53 PM EST
The following are excerpts from Goldberg's interview in Sunday's Winnipeg Sun:
On The Experience Of Filming The Longest Yard: "I had to pinch myself every day. It was the coolest thing. I'd look around. There's Adam Sandler. There's Chris Rock. There's Nelly. There's Burt Reynolds. I loved Burt Reynolds enough that my first car was a Trans Am."
His Decision To Leave Pro Wrestling: "Steve Borden (Sting) said when he wasn't able to enjoy what he was doing, when he was miserable when he got home, it was time to hang it up.
"It wasn't worth the hassle. It doesn't seem like the No. 1 goal (in WWE) is business oriented. It seemed more like mental torture."
"I don't think it's a mistake that I'm not there ... that The Rock is not there ... that Kevin Nash is not there. It's not because we're too old. Look at Dusty Rhodes ... he's 150 years old and he's still wrestling."
On Triple H: "He was always a good guy to me. But I don't believe any talent should be on the booking committee."
