  • Austin PFAFF sent in the following:

    Before the event:

The card had been changed at least 3 times up to last night!

There were at least 2 autograph sessions taken place in CT with one with Rey Mysterio/Joy Giovanni and one with Charlie Haas/Dawn Marie. I couldn't go to either one due to do some things I had to do but thats alright.

I had some good seats on the floor and saw the ring perfectly and got to run up to the rail when the guards weren't be assholes, which paid off in the end as i'll get to later.

Got myself the white John Cena "Chain Gang" shirt and the Rey Mysterio bracelet. Disappointed they didn't have the Cena bracelet. One thing that made me confused was that they were selling the Matt Hardy foam hand/fingers WHEN HES GONE FROM THE WWE COMPLETELY!

At the start, Theodore Long was introduced and welcomed us all and ran down tonights card. He then noted that Rey Mysterio was not going to be there tonight due to the events of Eddie Guerrero on Smackdown this past week. He then told Guerrero to come out to answer the question of why. Guerrero came out with no music in street clothes and told Long that he nor the fans don't really need an answer from him. Because of this, Long tells Guerrero that he will be wrestling tonight against....THE BIG SHOW! Big Show's music hits to a huge ovation. If I might note, hes huge live in person! Guerrero is not happy about this and tries to talk his way out of it until he cheap shots Show and the match has begun.

    Eddie Guerrero vs. Big Show:

Pretty short match with it ending in a DQ when Guerrero low blowed Big Show when going for a chokeslam. Guerrero was really beating Show down for most of the match before Big Show gained control. Winner: Big Show by DQ

Big Show was at first orginally scheduled to face Kurt Angle as advertised on TV but then WWE.com listed against Carlito Carribean Cool up until last night and Eddie Guerrero was to face Rey Mysterio as billed as a Wrestlemania rematch.

    Cruiserweight Championship
Paul London (champion) vs. Spike Dudley:

The crowd was really into this match and was really into London. Typical cruiserweight match was high flying spots especially from London but I would say that the match was pretty much even. Winner: Paul London retains

This match was orginally scheduled as a three way between Paul London vs. Spike Dudley vs. Nunzio up until last night.

    Heidenreich vs. Rene Dupree:

Heidenreich came out to a great face crowd reaction. He had a poem for his friends in Hartford but he never got to read it because Rene Dupree's music hit and interrupted him! Dupree really kept Heidenreich grounded for much of the match I would say with some cheap shots by Dupree until Heidenreich recovered from help from his Hartford friends (which i'm one!) and pulled out the victory. After the match, Heidenreich spited on the French flag and threw it next to Dupree whose in the ring basically lifeless which got a great crowd reaction. Winner: Heidenreich

A few weeks ago, Rene Dupree was orginally supposed to face Mark Jindrak billed as a USA vs. France match.

    Carlito Carribean Cool vs. Nunzio:

Both men were so over with the crowd and the crowd seemed divided somewhat but was loving this match. Carlito rolled up Nunzio with a handful of tights to get the victory! Now dat was cool! Winner: Carlito Carribean Cool

As noted before, Carlito was to face Big Show and Nunzio was to be in a cruiserweight three way.

    Kurt Angle vs. Booker T:

Best match of the night in my opinion. A lot of back and forth action fast paced with some outside the ring spots. Before the match, Booker T was on the turnbuckle looking to my section and pointed to me and nodded his head when I yelled "YEAH KICK HIS ASS!" so that was pretty cool! Booker T won the scissors kick and Angle was greeted with chants of "YOU SUCK" when he exited. Winner: Booker T

    Intermission

    Tag Team Championship
MNM (champions) vs. Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas:

Melina is SMOKIN' HOT IN PERSON! Pretty average tag team match with constant interference from Melina. One point in the match, Hardcore chased Melina around the ring and I think Melina's boob popped out! She quickly adjusted though. MNM retain by a double team preventing the Alabama Slam. Holly and Haas got a good reaction afterwards for their efforts. Winners: MNM retains

    Diva Best Body Contest:

Miss Jackie, Michelle McCool, Joy Giovanni, and Torrie Wilson were involved. Jackie and Michelle were so hot and Joy is such a MILF but we never saw Torrie's bikini because JBL and Orlando Jordan interrupted! Damnit!

This best body contest was supposed to a tag team match with Dawn Marie instead of Joy Giovanni. No word on why Dawn Marie was not present.

JBL and OJ came out in his limo to a great heel reaction with major heat when he said Hartford was worth the price of FOX! Insurance capital we are and hes saying that?! Told the "skanks" to leave the ring before he entered which really got the crowd hot. JBL insulted the crowd for maybe a good 5 or 10 minutes before...THE CHAIN GANG LEADER JOHN CENA CAME OUT! Its main event time.

    Handicap Match
John Cena vs. JBL and Orlando Jordan:

JBL and company tried everything they could to beat Cena but of course nothing out powered the strength of Cena that he got from the Hartford Chain Gang population(me being one of the many!) The Bashams even came out and threw in another ref when the ref was knocked out and Cena fought them off too. Cena finally was able to get the FU on JBL and got the pin! Cena was really over in Hartford! Winner: John Cena

Afterwards, Cena cuts a promo saying that at Judgment Day, JBL will say the two words that will be of his pathetic career...I QUIT! And when he did that he went around the ring slapping hands.....I GOT TO SLAP CENA'S HAND!

This was a great night and I can't wait for them to come back in which I think they announced September.
