Fantastic show from Raw brand in Edinburgh last night. I think the results are pretty similar to Berlin (if not identical) but here they are.

Regal and Tajiri over La Resistance
Lots of heat for La Resistance for interrupting (the gorgeous) Lillian Garcia's rendition of Flower of Scotland. Great response to Regal and Tajiri interrupting La Resistance's rendition of Oh Canada. Decent match, La
Resistance were impressive and Regal was probably the stiffest worker all night long! Messy finish, Regal scoring the pin by what looked like a shin kick to the side of the head of Rob Conway (I think).

    Chris Masters over The Hurricane
Decent match again, Masters doing his usual entrance and doing a solid promo, saying he wasn't going to offer to let anyone do the Masterlock Challenge. He's certainly very physically impressive and wasn't at all bad in the ring. Hurricane looked good. Masters won with the Masterlock.

    Christy Hemme over Victoria
The Coach came out, cut a very entertaining promo, then gave himself the announcing duties and then the refereeing duties for the match. Victoria went heel after faking a knee injury. Hemme had the match won with a splits leg drop, but the Coach feigned a shoulder injury. He then started threatening Hemme who responded with a nut shot. Another referee ran in to count the cover.

    Viscera over Val venis
Not the best match of the night, nor the worst. Viscera went over. Crowd was at its quietest probably, which wasn't all that quiet.

    Benoit over Tomko
Didn't catch most of this match as I was queuing at the bathroom. Great response for Benoit though.

Shelton Benjamin over Christian and Chris Jericho
Excellent match with great heel work from Christian. The best match of the night. Great technical wrestling. I can't praise this match enough. Benjamin won with his T-Bone/Expoder Suplex on Christian while Jericho lay down
on the outside following a slingshot bulldog from Benjamin while he had the Walls of Jericho on Christian.

    Kane over Edge
This match was just after the interval and a lot of people were distracted by the stewards trying to get people back from the guard rails. Lots of heat for Edge. Slightly botched finish, Kane obviously supposed to catch Edge from top rope into a chokeslam, but it turned into a weak looking clothesline. He just picked him up and Chokeslamed him for the finish. After the match, Edge grabbed a Scottish flag and wiped his ass with it. Sparing "You screwed Matt" chants.

Shawn Michaels over Muhammed Hassan (w/ Daivari)
This match ended very quickly after the fire alarm went off! As it sounded, a security guard told Daivari they might have to evacuate, who passed on the message to Earl Hebner, Hassan and Michaels, who had a laugh about it.
I believe Daivari shouted something about it being a bomb scare. Michaels did a clothesline, nip up and Sweet Chin music (without his usual tune up) and quickly left. A real shame because he had organised to bring a girl with health problems in from the crowd.

Batista over Ric Flair and Triple H
Triple H followed Ric Flair out, both getting great reactions and claimed that Batista set off the fire alarm (which was still going off at this stage) because he was "a big pussy". While Lillian Garcia announced Batista,
Triple H was stepping down on her mic cable, meaning she was bending over more and more to actually announce his entrance (which was no bad thing!). Batista came out and Flair then cut a promo on him which I couldn't really
hear. Decent match, Triple H selling every move whether he was in the ring or on the outside. Natch did his usual front bump and Triple H taking a very entertaining bump from a Batista back elbow and then, after Batista put
up a foor from a second rope dive he went jelly legged for about 90 seconds before gathering himself, moving towards Flair, and taking a front bump. Very entertaining stuff.

After the match, Batista celebrated for ages (his music looped at least four times) and he did three laps of the ring, charged back to the ring from the entrance way, celebrated with the Scottish flag and fell off the second
rope into the middle of the ring while celebrating. Before he charged back, Lillian Garcia went round the ring tagging the crowds' hands, then both of them left and the lights came back on.

    Overall a great show!

    Biggest Pops
    1. Batista
    2. Shawn Michaels
    3. (Probably) Benoit

    Biggest Heat
    1. Edge
    2. Hassan and Daivari

WWE Wrestlemania Revenge Tour results – Edinburgh, Scotland, 22/04/05

Hey, I’m Brian and me and my friend Richy attended the WWE event in Edinburgh last night. We had front row seats and it was an amazing show. Here are the results.

Match 1: World Tag Team Championship

William Regal & Tajiri (c) vs La Resistance

We were a bit late so we missed this match but Regal and Tajiri retained their titles. I think Tajiri got the pinfall.

    Winners: William Regal & Tajiri

Match 2: The Hurricane vs “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters

We actually missed this match as well because we had both bought a pint of lager only to be told that we couldn’t take it to our seats, so we had to drink it out in the foyer.

I was told that Masters won the match with his “Masterlock” finisher.

    Winner: “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters

Match 3: Christy Hemme vs Victoria (guest referee – The Coach)

This match was supposed to Trish vs Victoria but Trish is injured so couldn’t appear which was a damn shame as she is great!

This was a decent enough match and both of these divas are hot, especially Victoria.

Christy got the pinfall via an inside cradle.

    Winner: Christy Hemme

Match 4: Val Venis vs Viscera

Viscera is huge!! Quite a few “let’s go Mabel” chants during this match. Viscera won via pinfall after nailing Val with the sitdown powerbomb.

After the match, Val got a decent pop for his efforts.

    Winner: Viscera

Match 5: Chris Benoit vs Tyson Tomko

Decent match and it was great seeing Benoit live for the first time.

Benoit won by submission after Tomko tapped out to the crossface although it could have been the sharpshooter as my memory is slightly fuzzy from last night.

    Winner: Chris Benoit

Match 6: WWE Intercontinental Championship – Triple Threat Match

Shelton Benjamin (c) vs Chris Jericho vs Christian

This match was great, best of the night! We were looking forward to seeing Captain Charisma because he’s the man!

We had a sign saying “Have you ever been in a lingerie pillow fight Chris?” and Jericho acknowledged this by saying “just one” which was pretty cool.

We also has another sign saying “Shelton Benjamin is a little bitch” which Jericho also pointed to and laughed.

This was a really good match between three of Raw’s best and Tomko also got himself involved at one point.

Benjamin retained his title when he pinned Christian after nailing his t-bone suplex finisher.

    Winner: Shelton Benjamin

    Short Intermission

    Match 7: Kane vs Edge

We had a “you screwed Matt” sign which Edge noticed and he got all riled up. He was cupping his hands to his ear encouraging the crowd to chant “you screwed Matt” to which the duly obliged.

Kane got the pin after delivering a chokeslam to Edge.

    Winner: Kane

Match 8: Shawn Michaels vs Muhammed Hassan w/ Khosrow Daivari

We had a sign saying “Hassan Sucks Daivari” which Shawn noticed and started to laugh.

During the match, my friend went right up to the fence around the ring and raised the sign again. Next moment, Daivari ran from other side of the ring and grabbed the sign right out of his hands and ripped it up into about
20 pieces. It was such a cool moment!! Hopefully they’ll show it on Raw because the cameraman was right on the spot. After the event had finished, we managed to get all the pieces of the sign back!

During the match, a fire alarm went off and it was announced that they were investigating to see if their was a fire or if it was a false alarm.

The wrestlers were unsure what was happening so they finished this match early with HBK nailing Hassan with sweet chin music to pick up the 3 count.

    Winner: Shawn Michaels

Match 9: Main Event – Handicap Match

Batista vs Triple H & Ric Flair

This was a pretty good match with lots of entertainment value. Flair got a massive pop and the “whooooo” chants continued all through the match. Triple H also got a good pop. Flair and Triple H both said some stuff on the mic and then the World Heavyweight Champion’s music hit Batista came down to a big pop.

Best moment of the match was when Flair did his world famous “Flair Flop” which was hilarious. I managed to get this on video on my mobile phone which I’m quite chuffed about. Triple H also did his version of the “Flair Flop” which was quite funny.

Match finished with Batista nailing Flair with his sitdown powerbomb finisher to pick up the 3 count.

After the match, Batista played to the crowd a bit. Someone threw a Scotland flag in the ring and Batista held it in the air and got a big cheer. He then walked around the ring slapping hands with people at ringside.

The extremely hot Lillian Garcia also did the same. Did I mention that she is hot!!!!! Batista did one last circle of the ring and that was the show finished.

    Winner: Batista

    Biggest Pops

    Ric Flair
    Batista
    Shawn Michaels
    Triple H (entrance)
    Christian / Chris Jericho

    Most Heat

    Muhammed Hassan & Khosrow Daivari
Triple H (after trashing the crowd on the mic)
    Edge
    The Coach
    La Resistance

All in all, it was an amazing night. The fact that we actually had front row seats made it better than the other previous two WWE events that I've attended in Newcastle and Glasgow.
