TNA Impact! Results - April 22, 2005

It's the last Impact before Lockdown, so lets get to it!

MATCH 1: David Young, Buck Quartermain, and Lex Lovett vs. the 3 Live Kru. BG does his standard schtick before the match, and Konnan and Lex start us out. Standard six man tag match, with BG playing the face in peril, and Ron Killings is the only one that impresses me. Ron Killings hits David Young with the Axe Kick for the win.

WINNERS: 3 LIVE KRU

Countdown of the 5 Greatest Six Sides of Steel moments. Number 5: Chase Stevens Moonsault off the top of the cage in the AMW vs. The Naturals match from last summer.

We see some footage of Jeremy Borash, Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, and Americas Most Wanted in Puerto Rico.

Countdown of the 5 Greatest Six Sides of Steel moments. Number 4: The 4 man Superplex in the AMW vs. Triple X match from Turning Point.

Dustin Rhodes is at commentary with Mike Tenay and Don West, and Bobby Roode attacks Dustin and beats him down with a chair. AMW runs out to make the save.

MATCH 2: Americas Most Wanted vs. The Naturals with a wheelchair bound Chris Candido and Jarretts Lawyer Daggett. AMW and the Naturals brawl around the ring for awhile, before both members of AMW corner Andy Douglas in the ring as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial the Naturals are double teaming James Storm. Storm gets the tag to Harris who cleans house. AMW sets up for the Death Sentence, but Andy Douglas pulls Storm out of the ring. Harris goes for the Catatonic on Chase, but Candido miraculously recovers and hits Harris while Andy distracts the ref, and Chase gets the pin.

WINNERS: THE NATURALS

Countdown of the 5 Greatest Six Sides of Steel moments. Number 2: Jeff Hardy going for the Swanton off the top of the cage and missing Jeff Jarrett in the match from the Best Damn Sports Show Period TNA Special.

Tenay and West show a video package for the Lockdown Main Event.

Countdown of the 5 Greatest Six Sides of Steel moments. Number 1: Elix Skipper walking the cage and hurricarana'ing Harris off the top in the AMW vs. Triple X match from Turning Point.

MATCH 3: Abyss and Raven vs. Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles. AJ dominates both Abyss and Raven for the first minutes of the match, until AJ goes for a springboard move on Raven and Abyss knocks him off the ropes. Abyss throws AJ into the ring steps before throwing him back in the ring and beating AJ down. Abyss dominates AJ as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial Abyss is still in control, and Raven sets up a table outside the ring for Abyss to throw AJ through. Abyss picks up AJ into a Razors Edge position, but AJ slides off and hits Abyss with an Enzugiri. AJ dives for Hardy, but Raven has knocked him of the apron and is now going for AJ. AJ greets Raven with an Enzugiri too, and gets the tag to Hardy who is back in the apron now. Hardy and AJ work together to clear the ring, and AJ leaps of Hardys back Hardy Boyz style to land on Abyss outside the ring. Abyss catches AJ however, and slams him into the ring post. Abyss goes back in the ring and hits the Black Hole Slam on Hardy, but AJ comes leaping in to make the save. Raven comes in and holds Hardy for Abyss to charge and hit Hardy with a steel chain. AJ pushes Hardy out of the way and takes the blow. The ref calls for the DQ.

WINNERS: NO CONTEST

Abyss and Raven beat down AJ and Hardy, and Abyss uses the chain on AJ while Raven throws Hardy through the table at ringside as the show ends.
