As reported yesterday, there was some backstage heat on Muhammad Hassan for his "throat slash" gesture across Michaels' neck on RAW this past Monday.
Many have compared Hassan's action with Benoit's patented gesture, and questioned why Hassan is getting heat for “the same thing.”
The big difference between the two is that Benoit does the gesture across his own throat, where as Hassan held up Michaels' head and did it across Michaels' throat - a very different scenario.
With Hassan portraying an Arab-American heel character, and given the recent beheadings, it wasn't a smart move by Hassan.
