-John talks about how his "Vanilla Ice" gimmick has turned into a legit character that has taken him to main event status.

-John talked about working in OVW as "Prototype" and he loved it. John says the character he plays in WWE is basically just an extension of himself. The "Prototype" character was not really much different than what he does as John Cena, but just done on a much larger scale.

-John puts over Samoa Joe. And how Joe helped develop "Thuganomics" with him when John would eat at Joe's house and afterwards they would freestyle in his backyard.

-John puts over young stars like CM Punk and comments on them possibly getting a WWE deal.

-John thinks there is competition between the Raw guys vs the Smackdown guys. They both want to outdo each other.

-John says Randy Orton is a good friend of his as they worked their way up through the WWE developmental system and was happy to see him win the title last year. John said he would have like to be the one who won the World Title last year instead, but John said he is thankful for everything he has gotten.

-John Cena is 27 right now.

TNA newcomer Trytan interviewed on Wrestling News Live; talks about TNA future and WM21

Wrestling News Live is heard every Sunday night LIVE on AudioWrestling.com and is also archived in Real Audio about an hour after the live broadcast every week. Check out the site now to find out how you can download the show directly into your PSP (PlayStation Portable handheld). And don't miss WNL's live show immediately following WM21, prizes will be given away all night in the chat room found on AudioWrestling.com

*Trytan started by giving some thoughts on March Madness.

*The hosts and Trytan are bummed they have not had a chance to hang out with each other since the TNA move to Orlando. Trytan says Orlando is not as fun for the post event party as Nashville was.

*Trytan commented on his match with Monty Brown from the Destination X PPV, said the finish was the best way to keep both guys from looking bad by not having either guy lose. Trytan thought the match was as solid of a match as one with two big guys can be.

*Trytan said he is very confused with the direction his character will take in the weeks to come. He thinks the Trytan character will slowly be built.

*Trytan thinks the TNA X Division is phenomenal but he enjoys watching the larger style to see what wrestlers like him are doing.

*Trytan thinks his character was put in a tough spot because he was made out to be larger than life and it is hard to follow that type of introduction because anything short of perfection will be looked down on.

*Trytan commented on his recent opponent Buck Quartermain.

*Trytan is looking forward to watching WrestleMania 21, he wants to see the Undertaker vs Randy Orton match. The hosts and Trytan joke about the recent Randy Orton rumors and refer to Randy with a nickname not suitable to be repeated in this recap :)

*Trytan talked about ribbing in the locker room, says it is nothing new and that The British Bulldogs were the best. Trytan feels if the Internet was around when the Bulldogs were around then the stuff that goes on today would not be anything new.

*Trytan's TNA contract runs out around July.

*Trytan has alot of bookings around the world. He was recently married to his wife in December so it is hard being on the road alot and away from her.

*As far as Trytan knows, Dusty Rhodes is booking the shows in addition to his on-air role, but there is not a clear view of who is really calling the shots.

*The hosts talk about why TNA should try to work harder to make Impact a better show. Trytan says its hard to give a good ppv if you already give everything away on tv. There are also things you can get away with on ppv that you can't at 4P.M. on tv.

*Trytan still wrestles for some indy promotions as HughMongus. He has not heard from his former ring girl Lollipop recently, but he heard she has been rooming with TNA Knockout Traci Brooks. The hosts say how they would love to be a fly on the wall in that room.

*The hosts spent the rest of the interview with Trytan talking about some of the afterhour fun they had on the road together in the past when WNL was backstage at TNA regularly during the Nashville era.

*This show went on for three hours total and was loaded with tons of great stories and skits. WNL will be back live on AudioWrestling.com for a show immediately following the end of the WWE WM21 PPV on 4/3. There will be a live call in from the Staples Center with news from the event, plus a former WWE & WCW World champion and ECW star is scheduled to call in with immediate reactions to the ppv.
