TNA Impact! Results - March 25, 2005
The show starts at Dustys office, where Trinity and Traci are working. Abyss walks over and gets in the truck. Credits. Mike Tenay and Don West welcome us to the show, and talk about what we have just seen. They then go back to the truck, where Traci and Trinity are looking for the contract for Abyss's title match, the one he earned back at Against All Odds. When they have trouble finding it, he scares them off, and AJ Styles calls Abyss out. Abyss goes out and pushes AJ, who responds with a spear. They brawl until security breaks them up. AJ yells at Abyss, then we go to the ring.
Match 1: Buck Quartermain vs. Trytan. Trytan tosses around Buck for most of the match, then wins with the F-5, called the T-3 by Tenay.
WINNER: TRYTAN
We are shown shots of Jeff Jarrett appearing on Blue Collar TV. Just a bunch of actors kissing JJs ass.
Backstage Konnan runs into the New Age Outlaw, and he asks NAO what he is up too. Konnan wants to know if he is trying to break up the 3 Live Kru. NAO says he doesnt have time for this, and he will deal with him later. NAO then tells BG James, who has just walked up with Ron Killings, that he has business with him. Konnan wants to know what it is, and badgers BG with questions till he walks off. Konnan tells Ron that BG and NAO are up to something, but Ron says they will straiten it out.
Match 2: David Young and Lex Lovett vs. Shocker and Jeff Hardy. Young and Lovett work on Hardy for most of the match, isolating him in their corner and using double team moves. Hardy gets the tag to Shocker, who pins David Young with the Shockwave after Hardy hits a slingshot splash on Lovett outside the ring.
WINNER: SHOCKER and JEFF HARDY
Match 3: The Disciples of Destruction vs. Shark Boy and Cassidey Riley. Shark Boy and Riley try to take down the D's early on with some nice moves, but the D's take control with their same old boring power moves, and win with a double slam on Riley.
WINNERS: THE DISCIPLES OF DESTRUCTION
OPINION: TNA, the Harris Brothers have never drawn a dime in any federation the have worked for. They are boring, slow, and unskilled, and only have been hired because they are big, and are twins. Shark Boy may never be a world champ, but like the Hurricane in WWE, he is popular, and can sell merchandise and entertain people. And Riley has a good look, good in ring skills, and decent mike skills. He could be something good one day. So please stop wasting their talent on guys who will NEVER draw a dime for you. Oh but wait, the Harris Brothers are probably friends of JJs from WWE and WCW, so they take precedence over talented new guys, much like Nash, DDP, and Sean frickin Waltman are given precedence over AJ Styles, Monty Brown (whose heel turn and alliance with JJ is only o keep Monty down) and Chris Daniels. I love DDP by the way, but there is no way he should be in main events instead of those three fantastic young talents.
DDP heads out to the ring and says he wants an answer from Dusty about the match he, Nash, and Waltman asked for last week. That match, BTW is Nash, DDP, and Waltman vs. JJ, Monty, and NAO in the cage. Dusty comes out with his secretaries, and says they get their match. DDP calls out Monty, and says he is a fool for aligning himself with JJ. He calls NAO a jester. JJ appears on the tron, and he, Monty, and NAO are beating up Nash. DDP runs to the back to help as we go to commercial.
Backstage Hardy runs into Raven, who compliments Jeff on his match with Abyss. Raven proposes an alliance with Jeff. Jeff says he minds his own business, and wants Raven to stay out of his. Raven says sure, he will catch him later.
Match 4: Sonny Siaki vs. Apolo. Good match between the two men with very similar styles and looks, and Apolo gets the win with a roll up from the corner.
WINNER: APOLO
After the match Siaki looks pissed, but he asks for a handshake from Apolo. Apolo shakes his hand, then Kid Kash interrupts with Lance Hoyt. Kid Kash says their match sucked, insults their ethnicity, and calls them gay. Kash tells them to get out of TNA. Siaki gets on the mike, calls Kash and Hoyt dumb and Dumber, and tells the two "lovers" to get in the ring right now and say that. Kash says no, because he knows that Siaki wants to get his hands on Kash so he is not coming down. Kash says he would punch Siakis teeth out, but they have already been knocked out. Siaki says if they are not gonna come down, they will come up there and kick their asses. Kash and Hoyt take off as we go to commercial.
Backstage Shane Douglas is interviewing Dustin Rhodes, who says that at Lockdown he will face Team Canadas Bobby Roode. Dustin says that a Canadian has never beat a Texan. Coach D'Amore and Bobby Roode walk up, and calls Dustin a redneck, and Roode says that at Lockdown he will prove that he is better than any American.
Match 5: Phi Delta Slam vs. Americas Most Wanted. Tenay and West tell us that at Lockdown AMW will face Team Canada for the tag titles. Harris and Bruno start out with a lockup, and Bruno forces Harris into the corner. Harris fights him off, and then punches him out of the ring. Harris then punches Tio on the apron. Tio comes in after him, but James Storm runs in and leapfrogs over Harris to take down Tio and knock him out of the ring. Commercial. When we come back Bruno is in control over Harris. Tio comes in and they double team Harris. They isolate Harris in their corner and work him over. Harris gets the hot tag to Storm, who unloads on both men with punches and superkicks. AMW goes for the Death Sentence, but Team Canada runs down and attacks, causing a DQ. Phi Delta Slam hits the Frog Splash on Storm while Team Canada fights Harris, but Dustin Rhodes runs down and makes the save. Dustin and AMW clean house, and eject all of the heels from the ring.
WINNERS: NO CONTEST
