IWF "March Madness Weekend" Live Events this Friday & Saturday:
Fred Sampson defends against Kevin Knight; Roman to Guest Referee

(West Paterson, NJ)- Will March Madness Weekend resemble a wrestling event or a full-scale riot like last month's February Fury? When Independent Wrestling Federation action returns to the IWF Centre, West Paterson, NJ, this Friday, March 25, 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 26, 7:30 pm, Commissioner Rich Ross will be on hand to make sure the chaos is somewhat controlled.

On March 25th, as part of a Double Main Event, the IWF Heavyweight Title will be on the line as two-time champion BoneCrusher Fred Sampson defends against former Lethal Injection partner and three-time former champion Kevin Knight. With Roman recovering from a neck injury sustained last month at the hands of Sampson and Outlaw Shane O'Brien, he has not been medically cleared for competition, therefore Ross has named him as Special Guest Referee for this contest.

Sampson captured the title for the second time on January 21, 2005, at Winter Warfare by ending Roman's third title reign. On March 25th, Knight looks to win the gold for a record fourth time. Sampson, Knight and Roman are all recent WWE performers.

The second part of the Double Main Event proves to be just as volatile as IWF American Champion Biggie Biggs takes on hated arch-rival Shane O'Brien. Both Biggs and Knight have retribution on their minds against the roughneck O'Brien and heartless Sampson after they hung Roman over the top rope with a steel chain in one of the most despicable acts in IWF history.

Biggs, a two-time American Champion, has held the title for 11 months since April 28, 2004, in West Long Branch, NJ, while O'Brien looks to capture his first singles crown.

In a featured contest, the popular Damian Adams returns to take on cocky super-brat Travis Blake in what's sure to be a most competitive encounter.

Still nursing a sprained knee as a result of Sean Royal's temper tantrum last month, IWF Junior Heavyweight Champion Aaron Stride courageously puts his title on the line against friend and tag partner Chris Steeler. Stride won the title seven months ago on August 10, 2004, in Aberdeen, NJ.

Speaking of the pesky Royal, he takes on tough-as-nails IWF diva Jana in a contenders match for the IWF Junior Title. Royal himself is a former Junior champ.

In a contenders match for the IWF Tag Team Titles, the up-and-coming duo of Pete Hanover and Chad Andrews look to make their mark as they take on streetwise thugs Tony Torres and Antonio Rivera with valet Shayla, the Queen "B" of the IWF. Knight and Dangerous Dan McGuire currently hold the tag straps. Speaking of McGuire, he will be battling 350-pound Playboy Vik Voorhees.

As mentioned earlier, there will be a special interview segment as Commissioner Ross will address the reprehensible actions of Sampson and O'Brien from February Fury. Also to appear are Matt Bennett, Robby Morrison and Camp IWF standouts.

Day two of March Madness takes place this Saturday, March 26. Scheduled are BoneCrusher Fred Sampson, Roman, Biggie Biggs, Damian Adams, Outlaw Shane O'Brien, Kevin Knight, Travis Blake, Aaron Stride, Chris Steeler, Jana, Sean Royal, Tony Torres, Antonio Rivera, Shayla, Playboy Vik Voorhees, Robby Morrison, Commissioner Rich Ross, Nick Sabre, Matt Bennett, Pete Hanover, Mike Capozzi, Anthony Cheek and Camp IWF standouts.

With the IWF's 8th annual Reckless Abandon Weekend April 16th and 17th anniversary events around the corner, March Madness Weekend is sure to set the stage for the yearly Spring showcase. For more information, visit www.WrestlingIWF.com.
