TNA Impact! Results - February 25, 2005
The show begins with a recap of Trytans debut last week. Credits. Don West and Mike Tenay welcome us to the show, then show us some footage from earlier today of Abyss and Jeff Hardy brawling backstage. They fight with chair and knock each other into some catering tables.
Bobby Roode, Eric Young, and Petey Williams head out with Coach D'Amore and Johnny Devine. Dustin Rhodes, bullrope in hand, and the NWA Tag champs Americas Most Wanted are their opponents. AMW has some great music. Anyone have a copy of their theme? All I can find is their old one. After some interference from D'Amore and Devine Bobby Roode hits Chris Harris with a wicked lariat to the back of the head and gets the win.
Shane Douglas in backstage with Raven, and Shane asks Raven about his match with Dustin at Destination X. Raven is not intimidated by Dustin. Raven lists the matches he ha invented and been in, and says a bullrope match is childs play. Raven says he will give Dustin the suffering he deserves. Raven then talks about how evil he is. The rest of his promo is too good to do justice to here. Try to watch a replay.
Cassidey Riley is out next, and his opponent is Chris Sabin. Sabin hits a nice dive outside the ring. Cassidey gets some good offense, but Sabin hits the Wave of the Future for the win.
Our next match is Buck Quartermain vs Kid Kash with Lance Hoyt. Monty Brown is at commentary, and West and Tenay ask him about Trytans debut last week. Monty is not afraid of the mysterious giant. Kash dominates Buck, letting Hoyt work him over outside the ring, then hitting the Moneymaker for the win. Right after the bell the lights go off and Trytans music hits. Trytan appears on the ramp, and points to Monty. Monty challenges Trytan, who disappears.
Backstage BG James is talking to Konnan when The New Age Outlaw interrupts. NAO wants to talk business with BG. Back at ringside West and Tenay refer to the history BG and NAO have.
Chris Candido with the Naturals heads out to face Primetime Elix Skipper. The Naturals try to interfere, but Skipper hits Sudden Death for the win.
Tenay is interviewing DDP. Tenay asks DDP about his neck injuries and retirement. DDP says he has his own workout, and says it is about core strength. DDP talks about beating Jeff Jarett for the WCW title, and JJ beating him for the title. DDP wants JJs legacy, his title.
The Fallen Angel Chris Daniels, Michael Shane, and Frankie Kazarian vs the vastly underrated Sonny Siaki, the also underrated Ron “The Truth” Killings, and The Phenomenal AJ Styles is our next match. Incredible fast paced action, all these men work so well together. Its sad to see you go Frankie, good luck in WWE. Michael Shane hits the superkick on Siaki to get the win for his team.
JJ is at commentary, and DDP comes out to face NAO. JJ yells some trash to DDP, and DDP runs to JJ and they begin to brawl. They brawl all around the ring and crowd, till NAO comes out to help JJ. Nash comes out to even the odds, and all four men brawl as the show ends.
