Pandemonium Breaks Loose at IWF February Fury Weekend:
Superstars Out of Control as Sampson & O'Brien Injure Roman

(West Paterson, NJ)- With Commissioner Rich Ross on assignment, did one really expect the stars of the Independent Wrestling Federation to conduct themselves in a professional manner? At February Fury Weekend, many IWF combatants were simply out of control and the repercussions will be felt in the months to come. Here's a complete recap of the events.

February Fury day one on Saturday, February 19th saw former three-time IWF Heavyweight Champion Roman challenge the two-time champion BoneCrusher Fred Sampson. Sampson recaptured the title from Roman last month on January 21st at Winter Warfare, and the rematch was on. With Roman on the verge of regaining the championship by executing his patented full-nelson slam, Intellectual Arch Kincaid interrupted the referee's count to prompt a disqualification, keeping the gold around the waist of the BoneCrusher.

Earlier in the card, the Intellectual-one hosted his Kincaid Korner interview segment with guest Roman, and the two competitors exchanges verbal barbs. Kincaid later went on to defeat IWF American Champion Biggie Biggs by count-out, however the title remains with Biggs.

The IWF Tag Team Champions were in singles action, and both were victorious as Kevin Knight defeated Travis Blake; while Dangerous Dan McGuire upset the 350-pound Playboy Vik Voorhees.

In a bout to determine the number one contenders for the IWF Tag Titles, Tony Torres and Antonio Rivera with Shayla defeated arch-rivals Aaron Stride and Chris Steeler with Jana.

In other action, Sean Royal pinned Eddie Krayz to become the number one contender for the Junior Heavyweight Title; and Tommy Penmanship defeated Pete Hanover with Carrie.

Pandemonium broke loose during February Fury day two on Sunday, February 20th. In the first of the double main events, IWF Heavyweight Champion Fred Sampson successfully turned back the challenge of Damian Adams to retain the title.

In the second main event, Roman defeated Outlaw Shane O'Brien by disqualification in a Lumberjack Match after interference by Sampson. The other lumberjacks then entered the fray, brawled back to the locker room, and order seemed to be restored. However, Sampson returned to blindside Roman and in a disgraceful act, he and O'Brien hung the former champ over the top rope with Sampson's steel-chain.

IWF American Champion Biggie Biggs defeated Travis Blake to retain the title; while IWF Tag Team Champions Kevin Knight and Dan McGuire defeated Tony Torres and Antonio Rivera with Shayla.

IWF Junior Heavyweight Champion Aaron Stride once again successfully defended against former champion Sean Royal to retain the title, but this loss was too much for Royal to take. The former junior champ assaulted Stride after the match, attacking him with anything that wasn't nailed down, and proceeded to bash Stride's leg with a ladder and chair in an attempt to permanently injure the champ.

In other action, Vik Voorhees defeated Chris Steeler with Jana; then Blake and Voorhees teamed up with Mike Capozzi to beat Robby Morrison, Chad Andrews and Nick Sabre.

IWF action returns to IWF Centre, West Paterson, NJ, with March Madness Weekend on Friday, March 25, 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 26, 7:30 pm featuring all the stars of the IWF. Commissioner Rich Ross is sure to address the situations that occurred at February Fury. For information visit www.WrestlingIWF.com.
