Hello, and welcome to another edition of THE VELOCITY REPORT! With only hours away from the Royal Rumble, which superstars will hold a victory going into one of the biggest events of the year? Steve Romero and Josh Matthews are at ringside, preparing to answer that question!

Scotty 2 Hotty Vs. Chavo Guerrero
The match starts with a lockup, leading to a wristlock from Scotty. Chavo rolls through, and counters into a wristlock of his own. Scotty rolls through, knips up, and goes for a whip. Chavo reverses the whip, and sends Scotty HARD into the corner. Scotty is in pain, as the ref checks on him. Chavo tries to see if Scotty is ok, noticing that Scotty is holding his surgically repaired neck. Scotty slowly makes his way up, as Chavo continues to inquire about his opponents well being. Once Scotty is on his feet, Chavo nails him with a european uppercut. Chavo stomps on Scotty for a bit, before taunting the crowd. Chavo slams Scotty face first into the turnbuckle, gives him a snapmare, and applies a half nelson chinlock. The crowd gets behind the former "Too Cool" member, slowly firing him up. Scotty makes his way up, elbows out, but gets forearmed in the back. Chavo goes for a short arm clothesline, but Scotty ducks, and catches Chavo with a back suplex. Both men down, the ref begins the count. Chavo is up, and Scotty knips up at 7. Scotty lands a few right hands, gets a whip reversed, and hits a flying forearm smash. Pumped up, Scotty goes to whip Chavo into the opposite corner. Chave reverses the whip, and sends Scotty chest first into the same corner. Chavo forearms his back, whips Scotty into the corner, and charges. Scotty hits Chavo with a boot, hits the ropes, and gives Chavo a bulldog. Scotty calls for it, and the crowd wants to see it! W O R M ! Scotty lands the move, makes the cover, but gets a 2 count when Chavo gets a foot on the ropes. The ref and Scotty argue a bit, as Chavo comes from behind, and rolls Scotty up. Chavo grabs the ropes for leaverage, but the ref sees it, and stops the count at 2. Scotty rolls Chavo up, and gets the 3!

Winner Via Pinfall: Scotty 2 Hotty

Later Tonight: The "Co-Secretaries of Defense" The Basham Brothers will take on the duo of Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas. Can this new team gain a victory over the champs, knowing that they will have to fight each other in the Rumble match?

For 17 years, a battle like no other has been waged, and has catapulted one man to the threshold of Wrestlemania glory. The WWE Slam of the Week: Last Thursday on Smackdown - John Cena, with almost no problem at all, defeating Kenzo Suzuki, to retain his U.S. Championship.

Rene Dupree Vs. BioHazard
The match starts with Rene offering a handshake. BioHazard accepts, but gets kicked in the gut. Rene delivers a trifecta of right hands, before whipping BioHazard into the ropes. Rene nails BioHazard with a back elbow, and taunts the crowd a bit. Rene gives BioHazard a nice stalling suplex, goes for a cover, but gets 2. Rene gets BioHazard in the corner, and hits him with some chops. Rene whips BioHazard into the opposite corner, and gives him a backdrop. Rene struts around a little, before slamming BioHazard face first into the turnbuckle. Rene whips BioHazard into the opposite corner, charges, but gets kicked in the face. BioHazard drops Rene down, kicks him in the back, goes to the second rope, leaps over Rene, and gives him a forward neckbreaker (ala Mr. Perfect). BioHazard makes a cover, but gets 2. BioHazard forearms Rene, chops him, then whips him into the ropes. Rene telegraph kicks him, and clothelines him down. Rene looks around, and performs the infamous French Tickler! Rene picks BioHazard up, and drops him with a Michinoku Driver for the win.

Last Wednesday in Hollywood - Footage from the Stone Cold Steve Austin press conference was shown, announcing that WWE Films has made a deal for Steve to appear in three of their movies!

The WWE Rewind: Last Thursday on Smackdown - In a Cruiserweight Fatal 4 Way, Paul London defeated Spike Dudley, Shannon Moore, and Cruiserweight Champ Funaki, to enter the Royal Rumble match.

We are back, and the mandatory Cruiserweight match is moments away.

"The Full Blooded Italian" Nunzio Vs. Akio
The match starts with a lockup, leading to a wristlock from Akio. Akio shoulder thrusts the arm, in an attempt to gain more control. Akio locks Nunzio's arm some more, while slapping him a bit. Nunzio grabs the ropes, and backflips out of the hold, and takes Akio down with a firemen's carry. Nunzio gets a cover, but gets a nearfall. Nunzio ducks a clothesline, hits the ropes, gets caught in wheelbarrow position, but grabs Akio into a rollup, and gets a nearfall! Akio backs himself into the corner, and we have a standoff. Akio calls for a knuckle lock, and Nunzio agrees. Akio goes for a cheap kick, but Nunzio catches the leg, sweeps out the other leg, slaps Akio a bit, and sends him to the corner. Akio kicks Nunzio, and forearms him in the back. Akio whips Nunzio into the ropes, goes for a slam, but Nunzio gets Akio in a tilt a whirl fujimara armbar! Akio struggles, but eventually makes the ropes. Nunzio rings the arm, goes to the second rope, but Akio breaks it, and kicks Nunzio in the back, sending him from the second rope, to the floor! Akio goes to the outside, and gives Nunzio a russian leg sweep into the barricade. Back in the ring, Akio stomps on Nunzio. Akio applies a sleeper, but Nunzio slowly makes his way up. Akio forearms him, whips him into the corner, charges, kicks him the the chest, launches off his body, and lands on his feet with a backflip! Nunzio rushes out of the corner, but gets nailed with a superkick! Akio goes for a cover, but gets 2. Akio applies a neck vice variation, but Nunzio slowly makes his way up. Nunzio elbows out, and gives Akio a jawbreaker. Akio and Nunzio then trade a few chops, before Nunzio pokes Akio in the eye. Nunzio clotheslines Akio twice, backdrops him, goes for a cover, but gets 2. Nunzio hits a running necbreaker, goes for the cover, but gets 2. Nunzio slams Akio, whips him into the corner, chrges, but gets elbowed. Akio goes to the second rope, but Nunzio follows, and russian leg sweeps Akio back to the mat! Nunzio makes a cover, but gets 2. Nunzio goes to the second rope, goes for a crossbody, but lands on Akio's knee. Akio goes to the top, and hits the Yang Time (Akio Time, Akio Sault), for the win!

Wrestlemania Recall: Wrestlemania 1, 1985 - Highlights from Andre defeating John Studd, to Hogan and Mr.T beating Piper and Orndorf.

We are back, and highlights from the Non Title Last Man Standing Match between Kurt Angle and WWE Champion JBL, from this past Thurday on Smackdown, are shown. In the closing moments of this awesome match, JBL booted a chair into Angle's face. But before Angle fell down, he nailed JBL with a STIFF chair shot. Both men fell, and were counted out, leaving us without a winner. Backstage, GM Theodore R. Long thanks the Big Show for coming up with this idea. Big Show gets on camera, and tells Angle and JBL that he will become the Champion!The following matches are scheduled for the Royal Rumble:

We are back, and it is now time for our Main Event!

WWE Tag Team Champions The Basham Brothers Vs. Hardcore Holly/Charlie Haas
Holly and Doug start things off with a lockup. Holly gets Doug in the corner, and chops him a few times. Doug moves out of the corner, but Holly whips him back into it. Doug tries to leap over, but Holl catches him, and goes for an Alabama Slam. Doug holds on to the ropes, but Charlie forces him to let go. Holly goes for the move, but Danny enters the ring behind the refs back, and kicks Holly. Doug hits Holly with a ddt, slams Holly's face into the turnbuckle, and tags in Danny. Both men hit a double clothesline, Danny makes a cover, but gets a 2 count. Danny beats on Holly a bit, but Holly fires back with a few chops. Danny gets the advantage with some punches in the corner, gets Holly down, and foot chokes him. Danny slams Holly's face into Dougs boot, and tags in Doug(Happy Birthday to Hardcore Holly, as announced by Steve Romero). Doug continues the attack with a choke in the ropes. Doug distracts the ref, so Danny can choke Holly out some more. Doug makes acover, but gets 2. Doug applies a headlock, but Holly slowly makes his way up. Holly fires with some punches, but Doug comes back with a few of his own. Doug hits the ropes, but Holly kicks him, and drops him with a back suplex. Both men are down. As the ref is making the count, Danny rushes the ring, and knocks Charlie off of the apron, to block a tag. Danny drags Holly back to his side of the ring, but Charlie runs back in, and attacks both Bashams. The ref gets control again, as Danny is now the illegal "legal" man. Danny makes a cover, but gets 2. Danny applies a full nelson, but, with fan support, Holly makes his way up. Danny hits Holly in the back, lands a few forearms, hits the ropes, but Holly catches him with a SWEET dropkick. Both men are down. At the count of 7, Holly tags in Charlie. Charlie is a house of fire, as he beats on Danny. He gives Danny a back elbow, a right hand, clotheslines Doug, dropkicks Danny, shoulder thrusts Doug in the corner, and flying forearm smashes Danny. Charlie goes for an exploder suplex, but Danny gets out of it. Danny goes for a whip, but Charlie counters into a drop toe hold. Charlie then applies the very painful Haas of Pain submission! Doug goes to the top rope, leaps off, and breaks up the submission. Holly takes Doug out of the ring, but Doug rams Holly into the ringpost. Doug switches places with Danny behind the refs back, gets up, and hits Charlie with the Last Impression (leg lariat) for the win.
