    DETAILED RESULTS FROM BATTLECADE V

It was an electric, historical night at CWF Mid-Atlantic's
Anniversary show -"Battlecade V" - which featured TWO new champions
and possibly the largest announcement in the history of the
    promotion.

CWF Mid-Atlantic's Commissioner William L. Cross kicked off the show
with that very announcement, revealing that CWF Mid-Atlantic has
joined the modern-day American Wrestling Association (AWA) as the
Mid-Atlantic chapter that will cover the AWA's North Carolina, South
Carolina, and Virginia territories. With this venture, the Mid-
Atlantic Heavyweight title has been declared as the next most
prestigious title under the AWA World Heavyweight Championship.

The action kicked off fast and furious, as two Northeastern
competitors (who have also seen competition in the unique Chikara
promotion) made their Mid-Atlantic debuts. John Brooks and David
Cole defeated Krazy K and Dexter Poindexter in 8:46 when Brooks
scored the pinfall on Krazy K. The Spoiler then "returned" to Mid-
Atlantic rings after a very lengthy absence, pinning "Classic" Chris
    Collins in 5:14.

The estranged Dynasty of "Slick" Ric Converse, "Tremendous" Trent
Wylde, and Brad Attitude were out next with Converse trying to
persuade Attitude into handing over the guaranteed title shot
Attitude owned by winning the CWF Rumble back in September. Attitude
refused to do so. Much to everyone's surprise, the current Mid-
Atlantic Heavyweight Cchampion, "Dangerous E" Coey Edsel, made his
way to the ring and issued an ultimatium to Converse: Attitude
wouldn't have to hand over his title shot tonight because Edsel
would offer one himself, but under one condition - the loser could
not receive another Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight title shot for one
entire year, thereby ending the tumultous title war between Edsel
and Converse that has stretched back over the past two years. With a
great deal of hesitation, but with repeated encouragement by
Attitude, Converse did accept the terms, setting up what was to be a
    very historical "Battlecade" main event.

Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens issued an open challenge to anyone in
the building "brave enough to face him," and that call was answered
by the youngster Ryin Andrews. Andrews put up a valiant fight but
would go down in defeat at the 2:38 mark. After the bout, Stevens
continued to pound away on the prone body of Andrews, leaving him
incapacitated to the point that Andrews would have to be carried to
    the back unconscious.

The New $outh$ide Playas of J-Money and Will B. Smooth made their
CWF debut as a team in a very successful venture, defeating the much
hated Alex Adonis and Jay Sinn. Smooth would pick up the pinfall in
10:19. Up next, Rob "The Bull" McBride made short work of Dynasty
member "Tremendous" Trent Wylde, pinning him in 2:55. "Red Hot" Tim
Blaze once again issued his $500 5-minute challenge and even bumped
up the pay to a $1000 only to have the challenge answered by
the "Mighty" Orlo Helmer, who destroyed Blaze in 27 seconds. Orlo
celebrated with the fans by throwing the money to everyone at
    ringside!

The Finals of the 3rd Annual Rising Generation League tournament
once again concluded at "Battlecade." The RGL tournament has
certainly been the stepping stone for many of the young superstars
in the Mid-Atlantic territory, as this year sure seems to be
following in the same direction. Kid Justice and Jesse Ortega
squared off in what was arguably the best match in the careers of
both men. In a back and forth struggle, Justice's quickness
prevailed as he was being suplexed back into the ring by Ortega, he
slipped over into an O'Connor Roll, and pinned Ortega in 10:47, to
capture the first major championship of his young career!

Despite having their belts stolen a month earlier by Twisted
Aggression (Mitch Norris and Sean Powers), the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team
Champions Brass Munkey and American Steel Ninja, were still in
action, squaring off against the deadly combination of Drake
Tungsten and Matt Houston. Due to the championship straps being
missing, the bout would be non-title. Munkey pinned Tungsten in 5:22
following their "Double Dragon" but immediately upon the fall, all
power in the CSA went out with only the metallic sound of a chain
and the screams from the champions to be heard. Once the power in
the building was finally restored, Munkey and Ninja were lying
unconscious in the ring with their previously stolen tag titles by
their side as well as the all-too familiar steel chain, which just
so happens to be the weapon of choice of Twisted Aggression.

Mid-Atlantic TV Champion Mikael Yamaha certainly had his back
against a wall at the anniversary show, having to make up for three
mandatory title defenses ALL in one night, squaring off against
Xsiris, Kamakazi Kid, Number Man in a "Fatal 4 Way" match. Yamaha
was running scared for the first portion of the contest, seeing VERY
limited ring action until he was finally cornered and spent the
remainder of the bout trying desperately to hold onto the title as
manager Brad Stutts watched almost helplessly from ringside.
Kamakazi Kid and Xsiris' high-flying abilities would actually end up
costing them a possible championship as they both would crash to the
arena floor, leaving Number Man with Yamaha inside the squared
circle. With precious seconds left, Number Man nailed the shining
wizard, but was unable to get the final 3 count before the 10:00 TV
time limit expired much to the disgust of Number Man and the fans
and to the delight of Yamaha and Stutts. In what could come back to
haunt him, Number Man made a very hasty request at the conclusion of
the bout, requesting 5 additional minutes for a one-on-one TV Title
match with Yamaha on January 8th. However, in order to receive that
very bout, Yamaha and Stutts forced Number Man to put up his
mask "win, lose, or draw." With Yamaha and Stutts' persistence that
Number Man is indeed the retired Gemini Kid, January 8th could
prove to be the final Mid-Atlantic appearance ever for Gemini Kid if
their claim is indeed true. Number Man stated that he realizes what
this will mean but that being able to take away the title and "kick
Yamaha's butt" for 15-minutes will be the best send off anyone could
    ask for.

Before the epic Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title bout began,
Commissioner Cross made one more major announcement. Cross informed
everyone that Brad Attitude would be the special guest referee for
the championship bout! Converse made a premature celebration with
this announcement as Attitude quickly showed that by no means was he
going to allow Converse to dictate his officiating. Edsel and
Converse then went on to have another classic contest; in what has
been a long, illustrious series... and quiet possibly, for the final
time ever. Edsel controlled the match early, but all momentum was
stopped in a heartbeat as Wylde interfered, holding Edsel's arm
between the ropes from the outside and allowing Converse to come off
the top rope, nearly snapping the champion's arm in two. Edsel lay
outside the ring screaming in intense pain as Converse and Wylde
forced him back inside for a hopeful submission victory. Edsel
continued to fight through the pain and not tap out, but as soon as
the momentum began to swing back his way, Wylde's interference would
again be his downfall. With Wylde distracting Attitude, Converse
took advantage once again, this time with the championship belt he
once owned, flying off the top rope and smashing it into the
forehead of Edsel who dropped to the mat in a collapsed heap.
Attitude turned around, oblivious to what had transpired, and made a
very hesitant, and disgusted three count at the 14:29 mark, thereby
declaring "Slick" Ric Converse as the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight
    Champion for a second time.

However, the series of shocking events for "Battlecade" were far
from done. A post-match argument erupted between Converse, Wylde,
and Attitude which ended with Converse finally turning on his former
partner, needing him no longer now that he "had accomplished his
ultimate goal." With Attitude on the canvas left to vie for himself,
a dazed Corey Edsel was just starting to come to from the brutal
belt shot. Edsel looked at the man that had just pinned him for the
Heavyweight title.... and then look down upon the man had just
counted Corey's own shoulders down and was now being throttled by
his former teammates... instead of helping Attitude Edsel walked
away. With Converse and Wylde continuing to beat upon Attitude,
Edsel left the CSA with fans sarcastically remarking "Thanks for the
help Corey." Then, in the final blow to their fallen "partner,"
Wylde pulled out the "Dynasty Hair Cream" and smeared it into
Attitude's face, causing him to scream frantically, his eyes burning
from the application. Wrestlers rushed from the back, water and
towels in hand, in a desperate effort to flush out Attitude's eyes
and prevent any long-term damage from being inflicted. As their
fallen teammate was being attended to, the remnants of the Dynasty
left in celebration, with Ric Converse officially being a two-time
    Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion.

    -----------------------

STATUS OF BRAD ATTITUDE / TRENT WYLDE / RIC CONVERSE SITUATION

Brad Attitude was rushed to Alamance Regional Hospital to have his
eyes checked after having some kind of dangerous cream or gel
smeared in his eyes by Trent Wylde. The preliminary diagnosis is
that Attitude has suffered some partial blindness and was referred
to a specialist for additional treatment this week.

Due to the nature of these serious actions, Commissioner William L.
Cross reviewed the film from Saturday's post match events to
determine if any official actions would be necessary. Commissioner
Cross has suspended Trent Wylde from the CWF Mid-Atlantic
indefinitely. Cross has informed Wylde that he can not petition for
reinstatement for at least 3 months but there was no guarantee that
he would even consider it. Cross also informed Wylde that he is
suggesting that Brad Attitude press charges for assault with a
deadly weapon against Wylde and will turn over the video footage to
    the authorities if needed.

After hearing of this, we have been informed that Trent Wylde has
fled the state and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Everyone in the CWF Mid-Atlantic wishes Brad Attitude a speedy
    recovery.
