WWE Video Game News: Smackdown! vs. RAW sales, rentals, and more

-The November Gamefly Top 10 Video Game Rentals has officially come out. WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW was #6 on the top 10 list, getting defeated by heavy competition that has been released before the Christmas Holiday season. Here is the list:
1) Halo 2 (Xbox)
2) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Playstation 2)
3) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Playstation 2)
4) Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (Xbox)
5) Need for Speed: Underground 2 (Xbox)
6) WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW (Playstation 2)
7) Dead or Alive Ultimate (Xbox)
8) Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (Playstation 2)
9) Need for Speed: Underground 2 (Playstation 2)
10) Killzone (Playstation 2)
Gamefly is an official video game rental service and their webpage is listed at http://www.gamefly.com. The service is for $21.95 per month, and renters can borrow 2 games at a time and keep them as long as they'd like.
-Last night, at the Video Game Awards on Spike TV, WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW was up for "Best Fighting Game for 2004" against Mortal Kombat: Deception, Def Jam: Fight for New York, Dead or Alive Ultimate, and Fight Night 2004. Mortal Kombat: Deception, however, won the award and the irony of this is that MK: Deception was heavily advertised on WWE shows and probably benefitted from those advertisements with the WWE's young male audience.
-Speaking of WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW for Playstation 2, it was ranked #5 on overall sales volume for the month of November.
-Also, WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW was ranked #4 on Canada's overall top sales chart for video games in November.
Certainly, being #6 on Gamefly's rental list, #5 on overall sales for November, and #4 in Canada has to be great news for WWE's video game franchise.
