Armageddon Backstage News: Heyman's absence, JBL to remain Champion, Jesus, more Submitted by Stu Starrs on Monday, December 13, 2004 at 3:21 PM EST
As we reported yesterday, Paul Heyman was not at Armageddon and many find it curious that John Heidenreich appeared at the event without him. There is reported tension between Heyman and the McMahon's and the situation is poised to esculate further. Heyman is now back to his role as 'creative consultant' after he was removed from the Smackdown creative team. Staying on the Heyman issue, many backstage also found it strange that he did not appear at the PPV last night and think there is something in the situation/
Jesus worked through a groin/leg injury in his match with John Cena yesterday. The streetfight was booked to compensate for Jesus' injuries.
The general consensus is that yesterday's PPV was a very disappointing show. The feeling right now is that the company are producing too many pay-per-views and all to regularly, are not delivering.
John Bradshaw Layfield is continuing to impress Vince McMahon and he is expected to remain WWE Champion until around WrestleMania.
