Update on the Holly/Dupree incident, WWE scrambling to make more ECW DVD's

- To update everyone on the story involving Hardcore Holly & Rene Dupree, sources behind the scenes in the WWE reported that Holly was actually laughing about doing a job to OVW developmental worker Chris Master in a dark match at the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday as part of his punishment for the whole incident with Dupree. Holly was also fined $10,000.
A lot of superstars feel that, while Dupree wasn't generally liked around the locker room due to a ridiculously cocky ego that he started developing due to his push earlier in the year, management should have tried harder to make a impression on all the wrestlers by taking more serious action against Holly and letting them know that this type of behavior is unacceptable, no matter who you are or how long you've been with the company.
- It appears that the WWE was caught totally unaware on how well "The Rise & Fall of ECW" DVD would do, as Amazon.com has been listing the delivery options for the DVD as 2 to 4 weeks, instead of the normal 24 hours. More than likely, the WWE didn't make enough copies of the DVD to suit the demand, and were left scrambling to produce more when it became such a big hit. It is a testament on how much of an impact ECW had on not just the wrestling business, but the fans as well.
