Hello all, and welcome to another edition of THE VELOCITY REPORT! I apologize for the lack of a report last week, but I'll make up for it, as next week there will not only be another Velocity Report, but an NSWA Report as well. Josh Matthews and Bill Demott are at ringside, as Torrie Wilson comes out, and announces the participants for the forthcoming bout!
Non-title match (duh)
Cruiserweight Champion Spike Dudley Vs. Hardcore Holly
The match starts with a lockup, leading to a headlock from Spike. Holly throws Spike into the ropes, and hits him with a shoulder tackle. Spike rolls out of the ring, and yells, "He's not a cruiserweight!". Another lockup is attempted, but Spike goes behind Holly with a waistlock, then applies a headlock. Spike is thrown into the ropes, ducks a chop, and chops Holly twice. Holly tosses Spike into the corner, goes for a chop, but Spike moves, and runs out of the ring. Holly chases, but Spike gets the advantage by hitting Holly in the back, upon return to the ring. Spike charges Holly, but gets flapjacked. Spike gets to the ropes, but Holly grabs his legs in wheelbarrow position, and kicks Spike in the junk, sending him over the ropes, and to the floor! Back in the ring, Holly gets Spike in the corner, and finally gets to chop him a few times. Spike is whipped into the opposite corner, but moves out of the way of a Holly attack, sending Holly shoulder first into the ring post. Holly is down on the outside, allowing Spike to drop a stomp on his chest from off the ring apron. Spike is able to get Holly back in the ring, where Spike drops his knees on Holly's shoulder. Spike chokes Holly for a bit, before shooting the half, and gaining a nearfall. Spike then applies an armlock variation with his legs, but Holly slowly makes his way up. Spike holds onto the hold, forcing Holly to pick Spike up, and dropping him back first, releasing the hold. Holly hits two backelbows, a SWEET dropkick, goes for a press slam, but Spike rolls Holly up for a 2 count. Holly hits a powerslam, but gets a 2 count. Spike is whipped into the ropes, but headbuts Holly's gut. Spike hits the ropes again, goes for an attack, but Holly catches him, picks him up, and drops him with an Alabama Slam for the win!

Back to the show, and highlights of the Cena - Cool situation from Smackdown this past Thursday are shown. It was the week after No Mercy when Carlito Caribbean Cool won the U.S. title from John Cena. That same night, in an after hours club, Cena was "apparently" stabbed. Over the next few weeks, it was learned that Carlito, and his friend 'Jesus, may have had a hand in it. No matter the case, Carlito still went around, being his cocky self. When Cena came back at Survivor Series, Carlito and 'Jesus drove off. However, GM Theodore R. Long made the U.S. Title rematch between Cena and Carlito for the next Smackdown. Before his match, Carlito insisted he couldn't fight, due to an injured shoulder. The GM would have none of this, and ordered Carlito to fight. When it came to the match, Cena beat on both 'Jesus and Carlito without a problem. Cena even nailed Carlito with a chair to the shoulder before the match began. When the bell finally rang, Cena spit apple into Carlito's face, and dropped him with an F-U to win back his title! But before Cena got his chain back, 'Jesus attacked Cena's wound, even hitting it with the chain (odd, I didn't even see a bandage or a scar).

Funaki ducks a clothesline, hits the ropes, and gets Jindrak in a headscissors takedown. Funaki tags in Nunzio, who helps with a double team whip. Funaki kicks Jindrak, allowing Nunzio to hit a neckbreaker for a nearfall. Jindrak knees Nunzio, and tags in Luther. Luther messes with Nunzio, until Nunzio escapes by crawling underneath Luther's legs. Nunzio clips Luther's knee, and punches him in the corner. Nunzio goes for the springboard armbreaker, but Jindrak nails Nunzio behind the ref's back. Luther drops the elbow on Nunzio's back, and stomps on him. Luther tags in Jindrak, who stomps Nunzio down. Jindrak puts Nunzio in a bearhug, which gets the fans cheering for the cruiserweights. Nunzio forearms out of the hold, but Jindrak beats him down. Nunzio is whipped into the ropes, but Nunzio duks a clothesline, and rolls Jindrak up for a nearfall. Jindrak beats on Nunzio in the corner, then whips him into the opposite corner. Jindrak goes for an attack, but Nunzio knees him. Nunzio goes to the second rope, and jumps off with a leg drop to the back of Jindraks neck (Sicilian Slice). Nunzio tries to get to his corner, but Jindrak holds his leg. Nunzio ducks a clotheline, sending Jindrak into Funaki, who punches him. Nunzio goes underneath Jindrak, but Jindrak holds onto the leg. Nunzio makes the tag, and Funaki bulldogs Jindrak. Funaki forearms Luther off the apron, right hands Jindrak, gets a whip reversed, and nails Jindrak with an enziguiri. Funaki goes to the second rope, goes for a tornado ddt, but Jindrak catches him, and knees him in the gut. Luther comes in, and both go for a double suplex. Funaki counters into a double ddt! Funaki covers Jindrak, but Luther breaks it up. Nunzio attacks Luther with some forearm shots in the corner, while Funaki has Jindrak in the opposite corner. The cruiserweights attempt to whip both men, but Luther and Jindrak block and hit. Luther and Jindrak go to whip Funaki and Nunzio into each other, but the cruiserweights spin around each other, and go to attack the other men. Nunzio gets taken out, while Funaki attempts a waistlock. Luther picks Funaki up in spinebuster position, allowing Jindrak to hit Funaki in the chest with a dropkick before the slam. Jindrak covers, and gets the win.

Well, that's it for Velocity. I've been trying to come up with a Fantasy card for Wrestlemania 21, but I need to wait a few more weeks. Near the end of the year, I'll post that, as well as Year end Awards for Velocity, and Wrestling in general. Next Saturday, I plan on attending another House Party, put on by the team at NSWA (www.nswawrestling.com). If you live near Kenner, La, I suggest you check it out. Apparently, there is a war of words between NSWA and the 2 other promotions in Louisiana. Hopefully, this can be resolved, as the Louisiana Territory needs all the wrestling it can get. If you have any questions, answers, lovemail, hatemail, pics of WWE explaining why they are promoting a ppv in Atlanta when the Arena is in a different county, or just wanna shoot the s##t, feel free to send ann and all feedback to Jaba4017@aol.com . Please, in the subject, type "Wrestling", as it might be deleted. Thanks for reading, and come back next week, as we give thanks to the magic that is.....THE VELOCITY REPORT!!!
