Buyrates For Taboo Tuesday and No Mercy Revealed

- The buyrates for WWE's October PPVs are in (WWE released them) and WWE is more than likely quite disappointed in the results. The No Mercy PPV did approximately 190,000 buys setting a short-lived record low because Taboo Tuesday ten days later did even worse with about 170,000 buys, setting the new company low. Before these two shows came about, the previous record low in WWE history was 225,000 buys from the December 1996 PPV headlined by Bret Hart and Sid Vicious.
Despite these record low buyrates, the break even point for WWE to make a profit is approximately 100,000 buys, so WWE will continue to make a good amount of money off the two-PPVs-in-a-month experiment nonetheless.
