Rumor regarding major WWE roster trade

The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter reports that Paul Heyman recently advocated a trade that would have seen the exchange of Chris Benoit for Kurt Angle. Benoit would have gone back to SmackDown, while Angle obviously would have joined RAW.

Heyman's motive for such a suggestion was to separate Angle and Undertaker, who have heavily politicized the SD lockerroom.

One of the advantages, from a storyline perspective, would have been the ability to run the Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels "dream match" that many fans feel is one of the most desired matches WWE has not yet offered.

By all indications, the trade proposal was not accepted and fans should not expect such a move to take place over the short-term.
