Late-breaking news on HBK/Taboo Tuesday, Huge WWE returns?

  • The big question on wrestling fans' mind today was whether or not HBK, who's suffering a knee injury, would appear on tonight's PPV. According to PWTorch.com, as of late this afternoon, Shawn Michaels was indeed set for tonight's PPV. It is undeniable that HBK will not be one hundred percent, nor will he be free of pain, but most do not believe his injury will keep him totally off tonight's show.

To say WWE is banking on Chris Benoit to win the voting is an understatement. The feeling amongst many internal WWE sources is that he "has" to win. WWE will obviously be prepared to deal with either HBK or Edge getting the title shot, but the feeling is that Benoit-HHH is crucial for the main-event. Once again, WWE will NOT change the results. If HBK wins the voting, he's most likely wrestling tonight.

If HBK and Edge do end up teaming against La Resistance, Edge will handle most of the bumps. There is the likelihood that WWE will play the usual "teammates can't coexist" angle, although a tag title win (even if they do the teammates don't get along angle) is certainly not out of the question.

Sources still believe at least one title will likely change tonight.

  • According to the Observer Newsletter, there is nothing definite to back up rumors of Austin and Hogan being set to appear at WrestleMania. While the two wrestlers remain in talks with WWE, nothing firm has been discussed about a potential return date.
