LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - In a first for pay-per-view television, wrestling fans will get to choose who faces off against Triple H. Luckily for mean bosses and ex-spouses, however, the vote will be limited to preselected combatants.

It's all part of "Taboo Tuesday," scheduled to begin Oct. 19. Voting will begin after "Monday Night RAW" on Oct. 18. Besides the Triple H bout, fans will be determining everything from the format of specific matches to the attire of the contestants in the all-female "RAW Diva" battle -- from the family-friendly safety of multiple choice.

"Adding an interactive element is something our fans have been begging for and craving for years," WWE executive vp marketing Kurt Schneider said. "They have always wanted to influence what goes on, so we're giving them a lot of opportunities to do just that."

Viewers also will be invited to submit questions for the backstage interviews and voice their opinions in an ongoing series of polls, online chat rooms and other features as the event unfolds.

Schneider said more interactivity is in the future for WWE fans as well, beginning with the introduction of. "RAW Interactive" on Oct. 25. "We're acknowledging that fans watch and surf at the same time," he said.

Broadband Internet access is recommended for participation. "It's a great hook for cable operators to push our pay-per-view and their high-speed Internet services," Schneider said. "We're always looking to help our partners advance their own business needs."
