John Cena was interviewed in the current issue of hip hop magazine The Source. He told the story of how his gimmick began. Cena stated that Stephanie McMahon heard him freestyling while they were on a WWE tour bus. She did not believe that the rap he was was performing was unrehearsed, so he did a freestyle about a can of tuna fish she was holding in her hand at that moment. He discussed his upcoming CD, "Underground." Cena appears to be very serious and knowledgeable about hip hop based on his comments in the article.
After being involved in a big storyline, WWE have decided to shift the focus away from Eugene. The consensus right now is that all the focus needs to be on Randy Orton so he can become the top face on Raw.
The plan right now is for Eugene to be moved to mid-card status. There are no immediate plans to elevate Eugene to the level he was even though his feud with Triple H has yet to be resolved.
