Welcome to yet another edition of what has come to be known as THE VELOCITY REPORT! Tonight, Bill Demott is joined by Micheal Cole, as Josh Matthews was nearly destroyed on Smackdown. More on that later!
Full Blooded Italians(Johnny Stamboli/Nunzio) Vs. The Basham Brothers
Johnny and Danny start things off with a textbook lockup, leading to a wristlock by Johnny. Danny is taken down by the arm a few times, before Johnny lets go. Johnny hits a drop toehold, then a big hiptoss. Johnny goes right back to work on Danny's arm with an arm ringer, then tags in Nunzio. Nunzio jumps off the second rope, but Danny moves away. Danny knocks Johnny off the ring apron, catches a charging Nunzio, and slams him hard. The Bashams double team Nunzio behind the ref's back, and Doug is eventually tagged in. The Bashams perform stereo axe handles to Nunzio's back, but Doug only gets a 2 count. Doug works on Nunzio's back, whips him into the corner, and gives him a well executed backbreaker. Doug holds onto the manuever, turning it into a submission hold. Johnny gets the crowd behind Nunzio, and Nunzio breaks the hold with some knees to the face. Doug puts Nunzio in a sleeper, but Nunzio counters with a surprise armdrag. Nunzio hits a forearm, goes for a tag, but Doug catches him. Nunzio sunset flips over Doug, and gets a nearfall. Nunzio ducks a clothesline, attempts a backslide, hits somw forearms, and desperately tries to reach his corner. Doug, holding onto Nunzio, hits him with a back suplex, and tags in Danny. Danny stomps on Nunzio, and drops him with a tornado back suplex. Danny goes for a cover, but gets a 2 count. Danny locks in a bearhug, but lets go after Nunzio hits some forearms. Nunzio is thrown onto the apron, and then shoved face first into the ringpost by Danny. Johnny checks on Nunzio on the outside, and he is knocked for a loop. Doug tosses him back into the ring, Danny makes a cover, but Johnny breaks it up. Danny tags out to Doug, and Doug goes to the top rope. Doug goes for a leg drop, but Nunzio moves out of the way, leaving Doug with a broken butt bone. Nunzio crawls to his corner, Doug tries to stop it, but to no avail. Johnny is in. Johnny leaps into the ring, and immediately cleans house. Shoulder tackle to Doug, punch to Danny, clothesline to Doug, knee lift to Danny. Doug is leveled with a spinebuster, but kicks out at 2. Danny knees Johnny, allowing Doug to attempt a powerbomb. Johnny gets out of the powerbomb, pushes Doug into Danny, rolls Doug up, and gets the quick pin!
Winners Via Pinfall: Full Blooded Italians (Johnny Stamboli/Nunzio)
Demott's Turning Point: When Doug Basham brought Nunzio back into the ring, interrupting a possible count out victory.
Later Tonight: Bubba Ray Dudley w/Spike and Dvon Vs. Hardcore Holly w/Billy Gunn

We are back, and Match #2 of the best of 5 series from this past Thursday on Smackdown is recapped. After an action packed match, filled with plenty nearfalls, Booker T gets the win with a backslide, while his feet were on the ropes. The series is now tied: Cena-1 Booker-1. Highlights of Match #3, which took place a few days ago in Australia, will be shown this Thursday on Smackdown. Also on Smackdown, Kurt Angle Vs. Eddie Guerrero in a 2/3 falls match.
Up Next: The technician takes on the foreigner as Charlie Haas will battle Rene Dupree.

The WWE Sting of the Night: Heidenreich, beating the snot out of an inquisitive Josh Matthews. Paul Heyman tells the lifeless announcer, "It's not hype, it's Heidenreich!", this past Thursday on Smackdown.

Rene Dupree w/Fifi Vs. Charlie Haas w/Miss Jackie
The match starts with a lockup and seperation in the corner. Rene shows off his body, prompting Charlie to push him. Rene goes for an attack, but Charlie ducks, and hits a waistlock takedown. Charlie holds onto the waist, as Rene desperately tries to break free. Rene gets to the ropes, forcing the break. Charlie armdrags an embarrased frenchmen, and tries to control Rene with the armbar variation. Rene pushes Charlie into the ropes, Charle ducks under, and armdrags Rene again, holding onto the arm. The crowd is behind Charlie with some USA chants, as Rene breaks free with some forearm shots. Rene goes for a chop, but Charlie counters into a tight armringer. Rene knees out of it, and whips Charlie into the corner. Rene charges, but Charlie moves out of the way, causing Rene to hit the turnbuckle. Charlie goes to Rene, but Rene picks him up, and drops him on the ropes throat first. Rene starts attacking the neck/back area, and even rakes the eyes. Rene chokes Charlie against the ropes, and rakes the eyes some more. Rene chops Charlie, then attacks him in the corner. Charlie tries to attack as well, but Rene remains on the offensive. Charlie delivers some right hands, but Rene hits him, takes him down with a snapmare, and gives Charlie a variation of the Throwback(leap over forward neckbreaker). Rene looks at Miss Jackie, and performs the French Tickler! Charlie rolls Rene up in mid Tickler, but gets 2. Rene clothelines Charlie HARD, and gets angry with a vocal Jackie. Rene follows Jackie a bit, grabs her, but Charlie breaks it up. Charlie gets clotheslined on the outside, then brought back into the ring. Rene makes a cover, but gets 2. Charlie gives Rene a jawbreaker, then hits a backdrop. Charlie hits a Manhattan drop, and clotheslines Rene. Charlie looks fired up, as he hits Rene with an Exploder suplex for a 2 count. Charlie slams Rene face first into the turnbuckle, gives him a hard shoulder thrust, and goes to the ropes. Rene kicks Charlie, attempts a neackbreaker, but Charlie counters, and hits a neckbreaker of his own! Charlie goes for the cover, but gets 2. Charlie goes for a slam, but Rene gets out of it, and waistlocks Charlie. Charlies switches around with a waistlock of his own, pushes Rene into the ropes, rolls through, but Rene rolls again, holds the tights, and gets the fall!

Later Tonight: Hardcore Holly will ENTER THE DUDLEY as he takes on Bubba Ray Dudley.

"The Reflection of Perfection" Mark Jindrak Vs. Funaki
The match starts with Funaki getting the crowd behind him. Happy birthday to Funaki!
The men lockup, but Jindrak shoves Funaki facefirst into the mat. Another lockup, and a seperation in the corner. Jindrak goes for a left hand, but Funaki ducks, and throws some nifty right hands in the direction of Jindrak's jaw. Funaki goes for a whip, but Jindrak doesn't move, and whips Funaki into the opposite corner. Jindrak charges, but Funaki moves. Jindrak stops himself before hitting the turnbuckle, turns around, and gets takes down with two armdrags. Funaki goes for a third, but Jindrak catches him, holds the back of his head, and slams him into the mat. Jindrak kicks Fuanki, whips him into the ropes, but Funaki kicks Jindrak in the face(Telegraph!). Funaki hits the ropes, but Jindrak levels him with a STIFF left hand. Funaki gets stompt on for a bit, then leveled with another STIFF left hand. Jindrak foot chokes Funaki, then hits him with a SWEET dropkick for a 2 count. Funaki gets snapmared, and stuck in a strong side headlock. The crowd gets behind the #1 announcer, which helps him rise to his feet. Funaki tries to get out with some sunches, but Jindrak knocks him down with a forearm shot to the back. Funaki gets whipped into the corner, and gives a charging Jindrak a backelbow. Funaki gets his boots up, which nail Jindrak in the face. Jindrak charges the corner one more time, and misses a splash, sending him gut first onto the top rope! Funaki hits some hard right hands, but Jindrak catches his arm. Funaki hits his gut, flips out of the armhold, hits an enziguiri, hits a running bulldog, goes for a cover, but gets 2. Funaki calls for a finish, right hands Jindrak, but gets caught and dropped with the Mark of Excellence. Jindrak makes the cover, and adds another win to his permanent record.

The WWE Rewind: GM Theodore R. Long, already in a bad mood, meets up with the cowardly champ JBL, and his Chief of Staff Orlando Jordan in the parking lot. JBL says onetoo many wrong things, and is forced to defend the belt. But, since he is injured, Orlando will defend it on his behalf! From this past Thursday.
We are back, and the controversial title match from this past Thursday is recapped. Since JBL is "injured", Orlando Jordan was ordered to be his replacement, and defend the title against The Undertaker. In the final moments of the match, Taker knocks out JBL, and hits O.J. with a chokeslam and a Tombstone. The ref goes for the count, but JBL pulls him out of the ring, causing a dq. JBL reminds the announcer that he is still the champ, turns around, and is confronted by the deadman. JBL, with his tail covering his genitalia in complete and utter fear, has his neck brace and halo ripped off from around his head. Cowering in terror, JBL is nailed with a chokeslam in the middle of the ring, laying next to his Cheif of Staff.

The WWE Smakdown Throwback: January 23, 2003 - Hulk Hogan comes out and recieves a huge ovation. After a few moments, Hogan admits that the Hulkamainiacs are his life!

Bubba Ray Dudley w/ Spike and Dvon Vs. Hardcore Holly w/Billy Gunn
The match starts with nice staredown, then lockup. The lockup is broken in the corner, but Bubba pushes Holly, and proclaims, "You aint so BAD!". Holly pushes Bubba to the mat, and the men stare at eachother. Spike motivates his brother, as another lockup occurs. Another seperation in the corner, and Bubba goes for a punch. Holly ducks, and nails Bubba with some classic knife edge chops. Bubba goes for some as well, but Holly is in charge. Bubba gets whipped into the opposite corner, gives a charging Holly a backelbow, but Holly comes back with a powerslam for a nearfall. Holly gets Bubba in a headlock, but Bubba pushes him into the ropes. Bubba hits a shoulder tackle, yells some more, and misses an elbow drop. Holly whips Bubba into the ropes, but Bubba kicks Holly, and goes for a right hand punch combo. Before he can finish it, Holly takes him down with a clothesline. Holly picks up Bubba's legs in wheel barrow position(Bubba is draped on the ropes), and kicks a field goal where the sun shall never shine! Spike taunts Billy Gunn, and leads him up the entrance, allowing Dvon to trip Holly behind the ref's back. Bubba clotheslines Holly, and signals to the crowd. Spike and Billy come back to ringside, as Bubba has Holly in a chicken wing stretch variation. The fans get behind Holly, as he struggles to outpower Bubba. Holly punches Bubba in the gut, hits the ropes, but gets dropped with a spinebuster. Bubba makes the cover, but gets 2. Holly ducks a clothesline hits the ropes, and both men connect eachother with clotheslines! The ref makes the count, as both Holly and Bubba are down. Bubba is up first, goes for a whip, but Holly reverses it, and hits a SWEET dropkick. Dvon tries to attack Holly on the apron, but Billy pulls him down and attacks. Holly goes to the top rope, hits a clothesline, goes for the cover, but Spike has the ref distracted. Spike spits on Holly, and gets chased around the ring. Holly chases Spike back into the ring, but Bubba meets him with a spear to win the match!

Well, that's it for Velocity. Another great show is in the books, and I only wish that more people would watch this show. It really puts the faith back into Smackdown.
