CWF Mid-Atlantic presents Johnny Weaver this Saturday in Thomasville, NC

CWF MID-ATLANTIC PRESENTS THE FINALS OF THE 1ST ANNUAL JOHNNY WEAVER
CUP TOURNAMENT ON AUGUST 28TH IN THOMASVILLE, NC
CWF Mid-Atlantic live action explodes in Thomasville, NC this
Saturday, August 7th, with a 7:30pm belltime at the National Guard
Armory. TV cameras for the weekly CWF TV program will be there to
capture the action from the Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament and the
presentation of the trophy by the legend himself!
The Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament has been narrowed down to the "Final
Four." Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "Slick" Ric Converse,
former champion "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel, Canadian Champion Quinson
Valentino, and Latin rookie sensation Jesse Ortega have fought their
way to Thomasville surviving a field of 16 competitors over the past
two months. This Saturday only one will be able to hold the Johnny
Weaver Cup. And to add to the glory that comes with that win, the
legendary Johnny Weaver, a former Mid-Atlantic TV Champion and 5-
time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champion, the name most synonymous with
the Mid-Atlantic, will be present to crown the winner of the
tournament named in his honor.
Action will also feature more legends from JCP's Mid-Atlantic as 3-
time World Tag Team Champion and 3-time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team
Champion, Don Kernodle will team up with his brother Rocky Kernodle
for a special tag team challenge!
Plus an 8-man tag team grudge match will pit the Mid-Atlantic
Tag Team Champions American Steel Ninja & Brass Munkey teaming with
Kid Justice & J-Money against Mid-Atlantic TV Champion Mikael
Yamaha & Xsiris (with manager Brad Stutts) and the team of Sean
Powers & Mitch Norris! This match is sure to set off some fireworks!
Also scheduled for action include Rob "The Bull" McBride, "Red Hot"
Tim Blaze, "Madd Trucker" Garry Stevens, and more!

MID-ATLANTIC HWT. TITLE SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED IN GEORGIA
Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "Slick" Ric Converse was featured
on a recent event in Savannah, Georgia this past Saturday night.
Converse successfully defended his title against Mitch Norris and
with it added even more shine to the most coveted title belt on the
east coast. Converse's title reign began in December by defeating
then champion Corey Edsel, ending his 14-month championship
dominance. With a successful title defense in yet another Mid-
Atlantic state, Converse is well on his way to the record books as
the most travelled Mid-Atlantic Champion since the days of Jim
Crockett's Mid-Atlantic.

More international competitors are heading to the Mid-Atlantic
region! Canada has sent their champion, Quinson Valentino into the
area for many months. He has even earned his way into the "Final
Four" for the 1st ever Johnny Weaver Cup.
