- HAROLD REDDICK sent in the following:
Simon Circle Boys and Girls Club in Dover DE on August 21 at 2pm.
1. Brandon Mercury w/ Trey Webber vs Frank Savage - Webber's still under medical orders to stay out of ring action for another 3 months due to the cerebral hemmorhage caused by the force of a vicious suplex Webber took at the hands of Untouchabulz member Flex Fenom back in May. Mercury on the other hand had his hands full with mat wiz Frank Savage, who put Mercury away with a submission reminiscent of the Rings of Saturn.
2. Phoenix vs. Jimmy Dream - A short tussle between newcomer to Maximum Championship Wrestling Phoenix and Jimmy Dream, brother of former heavy and cruiserweight champ Chris Nightmare left the masked newcomer the victim of Dream's version of the Acid Drop.
3. Loser Leaves Town for 60 days: A+ Aken Pembrooke vs Jason Marks - As a result of Pembrooke being on the receiving end of a haircut from Aug 7th's hair vs hair match, Pembrooke, who is one half of the MCW tag team champs the Varsity Boys, had requested this match. Marks and A+ went at it tooth and nail in catch as catch can until the closing minutes of the match when Pembrooke's new valet (who has yet to be indentified with the exception of her flowing red hair) distracted the referee long enough for A+ to reach into his tights for a bag of powder which he used to blind Jason Marks. Marks, who stumbled around looking for Pembrooke managed to DDT the referee, who was pushed into Marks by Pembrooke. Thinking it was Pembrooke, Marks covered the ref as Aken proceeded to start the 3 count to further confuse the disoriented Marks. As Marks arose thinking the match was over. A+ raised his hand only DDT him. Charles, the MCW Senior official, ran to the ring to take over for the fallen ref only to be DDT'd by Pembrooke, who then covered the fallen Marks as the original ref made the 3 count.
4. Non-Title: Shaka (MCW U. S. champion) vs Chris Nightmare - Seeking payback from the upset victory Shaka held over him in Smyrna on the 7th, the former Heavy and Cruiserweight champ went after the Crimson Fury again in a non-title confrontation. As this was Shaka's debut in Dover, the crowd wasn't too sure what make of him until the bell rang. The two faced off again as they did in Smyrna feeling each other out in a very evenly matched game of mat chess as they countered hold for hold. They jockeyed for position kicking at each other's legs, going for submissions, early pinfalls and the like until they reached a standoff to the appreciation of the crowd. Shaka clearly had the upper hand in impact however, using his unorthodox suplexes and hitting Nightmare from every angle. Nightmare retorted with his Roman cradle of Death, which Shaka narrowly kicked out of. Shaka replied with a page right out of the Great Muta's with a twist: Nightmare was shot into a corner to be hit with a handspring elbow followed by a flying DDT. Shaka tried to end it with an Emerald Erosion, one of Nightmare's signatures (he actually used it in the match in Smryna to counter a second Roman cradle attempt to show how much he had scouted Nightmare) only to have the Eastern Shore Curse block him and Shaka with his own, followed by a Frog Splash, ending the match. The two men, exhausted from the intense matchup, shook hands and embraced each other in the middle of the ring and Shaka raised Nightmare's hand as a show of respect for the former world champion, and the crowd ate it up. For anyone keeping score, the U.S. champion and the former World champion are tied.
5. Adam Ugly w/ The Bodyguard & E.L. Stanley Esq. vs. Massive Mike and Simply Luscious - The current Women's Champion of MCW came back to Dover to team up with the first U.S. champ to make short work of the upstart team Cruiserweight Champ Stanley and Adam Ugly. Let's just say it wasn't pretty when Massive Mike and Simply Luscious was through Stanley and Ugly.
