    Sunday Night Heat 8/22/04

    Rosie vs. Chuck Palumbo

Rosie makes his way out to the ring without Hurricane or Stacy Keibler.
Chuck Palumbo soon follows him. The match starts and they lock up in the
center of the ring. Rosie twists Chuck's arm and soon Chuck reverses it.
Chuck is thrown into the ropes and then is clotheslined. Rosie gets put
into the headlock, but Rosie pushes Chuck into the ropes and then knocks him
out of the ring. He walks around and then jumps in and tackles Rosie and
stomps away. They make their way to the corner and he continues beating
Rosie with open fists to the face. Rosie is then thrown into the ropes and
then is knocked down again. Chuck continues to kick Rosie. Rosie is now
bleeding from the mouth. Rosie fights back and sidewalk slams Chuck. Both
are down and struggle to get up. Rosie gives a shot to the back to Chuck.
He knocks Chuck to the ground and gives a leg drop. Rosie gets a 2 count.
Rosie puts Chuck into the corner and runs at him and misses. Rosie turns
right into a big boot. Chuck wins 1-2-3.
    Winner: Chuck Palumbo.

Later tonight on Sunday Night Heat, Val Venis will face off against Rodney
    Mack.

Clips were shown of Summer Slam with the Kane vs. Matt Hardy Till Death Do
Us Part Match. Kane won the match with a choke slam from the top rope and
won. Lita will have to now marry Kane!

On RAW, and Kane had an Intercontinental Championship match against Edge.
Matt Hardy interfered in the match and gave Kane a Twist of Fate. Kane got
up then was speared by Edge, and Edge retains the IC Title. Lita was
smiling but not for long. Kane made his way over to her looking mad but
then smiles. Kane says nothing can make him mad because next week on RAW,
    Lita will marry Kane!

The WWE Rewind is shown and it shows Tajiri helping Rhyno to win his match
and now Rhyno and Tajiri have Tag Team Title Shots at Unforigven!

On RAW the Divas Contest is shown. This week, each contestant had to tell
whom they thought should have been voted off and everyone said Carmella,
besides Carmella. Michelle then was voted off as she left the arena.

Maven vs. (I didn't catch his name.)

Maven makes his way out and gets a huge crowd reaction. The person he was
facing was already in the ring and he had a crazy long name I didn't catch.
The guy locks Maven around the waist and Maven gets out of it and twists the
guy's arm. The guy reverses it then Maven reverses back and knocks the guy
to the ground. Maven applied the arm lock to his opponent. Maven then
throws him into the ropes and dropkicks him. He gets up and Maven dropkicks
him again. Maven gets a 2 count. Another arm lock is put on his opponent.
Maven then throws him into the ropes and clotheslines him. Another 2 count.
The guy now applies the arm lock to Maven and keeps hitting Maven in the
midsection. He then gets Maven in a chin lock. Maven fights back and slams
the guy's face to his knee. Maven then nails two clotheslines and gets
another 2 count. Maven suplexes his opponent. Maven makes his way to the
top rope and jumps on the guy but his opponent pulls a nice roll-up off of
it and gets a 2 count. Maven then finally nails a flying reverse DDT for
    the win.
    Winner: Maven

A clip was shown from RAW when Triple H gave Orton a pep talk before he went
out to defend his newly won World Heavyweight Championship against Chris
    Benoit!

The end of the Orton vs. Benoit match was shown from RAW. Benoit hit three
German Suplexes then applied the crossface to Orton. He was on the verge of
tapping when Evolution came out to the apron. Benoit knocked each of them
off and then turned right into an RKO as Orton retained his title.
Evolution continued to celebrate with Orton as he was put up on Batista's
shoulders. Triple H gave Orton a big thumbs up. But slowly, as Triple H
stopped smiling, turned his thumbs up into a thumbs down. Triple H then
told Batista to let him down as Batista fell back and slammed Orton to the
ground. Evolution continued to beat Orton until he was bleeding.

The WWE Slam of the Week was shown. On RAW, Batista was beating Jericho
after their match and Edge came out to help him. Edge then decided to leave
as he left Jericho in to ring to be beaten by Batista and Flair.

    Rodney Mack vs. Val Venis

Rodney Mack came out to the ring with Jazz and was soon followed by Val
Venis. The bell rung and they both locked up in the ring. Rodney put a
headlock on Val and then Val reversed it and threw Rodney into the ropes.
As Rodney came back he was kneed in the gut. Val was then thrown into the
ropes into a shoulder block. Mack then beats Val on the ground for a while.
Goes for the cover but gets the 2 count. Then Rodney gives a huge body
slam to Val and once again beats him on the ground. Mack then gives Val a
bear hug. Val fights back but is then thrown into the corner. Val fights
back and throws Mack into ropes and gives him a knee to the gut. He then
suplexes Rodney Mack. 2 count for Val. Val goes for the fisherman suplex
but can't do it because of his back. Val knocks Rodney down and goes to the
top rope. Jazz tries to knock him down, but he shakes her off. He then
jumps on Mack but he puts his knees up and Val hits them. Rodney hits his
finishing move as he beats Val Venis. He and Jazz celebrate as they walk
    out.
    Winner: Rodney Mack

    End of show!

I thought this was an ok edition of Heat. I know I have seen better
wrestling on Heat before and this was kind of disappointing. Chuck vs.
Rosie wasn't great. It was a lot of Chuck beating Rosie on the ground and
it was short. The best match was Maven's. He once again shows he should be
on RAW, not Heat. His opponent was actually pretty good and that was the
first time I had ever seen him. The last match was better than the first,
but not by much. I think Val should also be on RAW also, although his match
performance tonight wasn't the greatest. Hopefully it will be better next
    week.
