Overnight SD! rating, Lesnar's mugshot resurfaces, Eugene update

- Thursday's WWE SmackDown! telecast scored a 3.5 overnight metered market rating. Although two key Florida markets were not counted, the SmackDown! rating is not expected to be outstanding due to the Olympics and recent lack of interest in WWE programming. Zap2it reports the Fast National rating at a 3.0, meaning the final rating will be somewhere in the 2.8-3.2 range, so it won't be a disaster either.
- Obviously a clever move to play off of Brock Lesnar's recent coverage in the football world, TheSmokingGun.com is running Brock Lesnar's 2001 arrest as a main-page story. The link features an account of Lesnar's arrest, as well as his mugshot.
For those unfamiliar, Brock Lesnar was arrested in January 2001 for receiving and opening a package that allegedly contained a "large amount of steroids." After an inspection, it was ruled that the pills were not steroids. Louisville police (Lesnar was in OVW at the time) claimed that the seized pills were growth hormones, while Lesnar's attorney called the pills "a vitamin type of thing."

- Despite a tease from Theodore Long, PWTorch.com reports that Eugene is not scheduled to make the jump to SmackDown, and will return to RAW shortly. WWE just did not want the burden of having to shoot an angle involving HHH and Eugene, only to shoot the main-event Evolution turn angle. Eugene is still scheduled to work against members of Evolution on the house show circuit, although it is not known with whom his next television feud will be.
