Thanks to Adrian Lim for the following:
Another great Monday Night Raw, Live from the MCI Center in Washington D.C. I had the privilege of going to RAW tonight and it was fantastic. here are some off-air segments/ HEAT.
The Fink starts out by Greeting the audience and proceeds to explain the pyros and music segments.
Dark Match:
Mike Bucci (From Bethesda Maryland) comes out to face Rodney Mack. Mack wins in a fairly competitive match.
Then we start Sunday Night Heat. The Coach and Al Snow comes out to Coach's theme and he starts by criticizing the crowd for its lack of respect for him and how we should all be grateful that he is in our presence. We could barely here him just because the boos were so loud he gave up and SNH starts.
1st Match: Val Venis VS Steven Richards. Venis wins with the money shot.
WE see Coach and Snow get up and leave as the tapings for Sunday Night Heat continue.
2nd Match: Victoria VS Jazz. Jazz comes to a loud pop, but Victoria wins. Thanks to the disguised Steven Richards, he helps Victoria again.
3rd Match: Maven VS Chuck Palumbo. Maven wins.
Lilian Garcia comes out. She introduces J.R and then Jerry The King Lawler. She then sings the Star Spangled Banner, as many people around us shout "F**K Iraq"
The pyros for RAW has surprisingly malfunctioned and the tapings are delayed so, right after Lilian Garcia finished singing. Triple H comes out and does his bit.
After the Regal-HHH segment, Bischoff helps him out and up the ramp. One thing that a lot of people saw was that when Bischoff carried HHH out, when they reached the curtains, HHH immediately walked by himself as if nothing occurred. I have to say that the lighting, and pyros have malfunctioned a lot this evening. Nothing occurs after the Sylvain Grenier VS Tajiri Match. Between each segment, T-shirts were shot up into the stands and the crowd booed as some were disappointed by not getting one. Kane’s pyro did not go as planned as the fire did not come out, but great match between him and Jericho. Batista has gotten the best crowd response because it’s his hometown, the good ol’ 202.
During the Edge-Orton match, everyone was laughing because Edge was wearing a thong/g-string. It slipped and he did not realize for a few minutes.
Amazing POPS:
1. Batista 2. Benoit 3. Jericho 4. Tajiri 5. Maven (he’s from Virginia, that’s why)
HEAT 1. La Resistance (U.S.A Chants all around) and thanks to Tajiri too 2. the Diva Contestants (trust me, they were booed a lot) 3. Bischoff 4. The Coach 5. Chuck Palumbo (It was wild with how many people booed him)
Overall, a great show. A lot of crowd support, but it has to be known that the empty was not FULL. There were many seats available in the lower section. Batista drew tons and tons of chants and that was an amazing sign.
