There have been questions raised as to why Triple H was backstage at the PPV last night when the Raw brand had a house show yesterday. Well, Triple H worked the Raw brand house show yesterday afternoon in Salisbury, MD where he lost to Chris Benoit then went to Norfolk for the PPV. Triple H is obviously part of the WWE management team but at least he did not miss his own brand’s house show to be there like he did last month.
The overwhelming feeling from company management was that last night’s PPV was a train wreck. The only people that seemed to be satisfied with the quality were the McMahons, however, the general consensus is that no one was fooled about the quality of the show.
As we reported earlier, Vince McMahon missed his first PPV in over 10 years last night due to an infection. There were jokes flying around in the locker room that McMahon missed the show because he knew how bad that it was going to be. Nevertheless most people questioned the quality of the PPV even though McMahon is actually ill.
