Wrestling's Fact or Fiction: Lita, Kane, Randy Orton, Plus Summer Predictions
Submitted by Phantom Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 1:35 AM EST

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends as it’s another edition of the most heat filled column on the entire IWC…Welcome to Wrestling’s Fact or Fiction. As always I am your ringmaster Phantom Lord and with us as always is LOP’s man who calls it right down the middle Da Ref and a man who makes Joel Gertner look like a choir boy…the one and only Dumass. Joining us this week in his third straight appearance is PWA Superstar and LOP Board Moderator Buzzsaw Classic and as a special attraction as The Fifth Wheel it’s fellow LOP Columnist Dubzilla. This week we have something special for you the reader as in addition to our always-great opinions on the hot button topics in wrestling we’re doing our Summer Predications for the rest of 2004. So with all of that in mind, it’s on to the first Question of FACT OR FICTION.

The Lita Pregnancy Angle will turn out to be one of the year’s biggest swerves

Buzzsaw: Once I was a fan of the somewhat great Team Xtreme, but like all victims of time, they just got plain old and boring. Matt Hardy may be the exception, but lately he too has fallen under the boring category as well, but that's neither here nor there. This whole pregnancy angle has stink all over it. WWE is somewhat putting themselve’s in a hole with this storyline. Is Amy Dumas really pregnant? and they feel they can benefit from it like some sitcoms when one of there stars becomes pregnant? Or is this just a mere storyline that will see Mrs. Dumas sport a fat suit much like Mrs. Doubtfire. Well WWE if this is the case how in the holy hell will you get out of this???? Will we assume that all the fans will just plain forget that Lita took an E.P.T. test 9 months prior and shared the news with a gitty Mrs. Hancock? Or will WWE once again try to shock us with an abortion?? Or maybe if we find out that this is really Kane’s baby. Lita will decide to tell him in the middle of the ring (Like all Personal problems in WWE). Kane will at that moment realize he has to finish his days of being a full time swinger which leads to him chokeslamming Mrs. Congeniality straight to hell. Bringing us, the WWE Fans the very first miscarriage in cell. I guess it couldn’t be worse then giving birth to a hand, Ah well anyway you look at it there will be a small swerve but nothing huge! so FICTION.

Da Ref: FICTION. The list of likely candidates is very small. It's either Matt Hardy or Kane. The outside shot is Jeff Hardy but is anyone waiting for that "stirring" promo upon his return? Either way, this whole angle is beyond ridiculous. There was the angle where Terri Runnels was supposedly pregnant and she had D-Lo Brown taking care of her. Should I mention Mae Young? Then again, maybe this angle can help explain why Lita is looking a little chunky.

Phantom: While it might not look like it right now, I’m going to say FACT on this one. It’s so rare when the WWE actually spends time building up a back-story on a couple of mid card wrestlers. It’s painfully obvious that Lita is going to swerve Matt for breaking her Heart when he came to RAW. Besides I’m guessing anything to keep Lita out of the ring is like a good thing or something.

Dumass: FICTION. I don't give a shit about Lita or Kane to care whether they are faking this pregnancy angle or not. Seriously, the WWE couldn't think of anything better than to label Kane een more of a rapist? Come on. This is ri-fucking-diculous. If anyone is swerved after this, they need to be examined by having their television stolen.

Dubzilla: Fact, Solely based on the mysterious nature of Kane, it's gotta be. Kane is due for something big ever since he lost the mask for the Maybelline which he washed away within two weeks. Sure he set JR on fire and was thrown into a dumpster inferno by Shane O'Mac, but that's ancient history, pal. What else competes with the sports entertainment possibilities here? HBK superkicking his way into the main event at Wrestlemania XX, Undertaker forming a loose yet unholy alliance with Paul Heyman, Booker T turning heel upon his move to SmackDown, the roller coaster ride that has been the Chris Jericho/Christian feud. I'm looking forward to the DNA testing of Kane and Matt Hardy with the results being aired during a segment of The Hi-Lite Reel. Chris Jericho would make an excellent Maury Povich. The real drama will occur when we find out that Chavo Classic is the real daddy. That's gotta be why he's keeping a low profile.

By the end of this year, the Cruiserweight title will be retired once and for all in the WWE

Da Ref: I have to say FACT. To be honest, I HOPE the title is retired. Ever since 1997 when they reintroduced the Light Heavyweight Title, the WWF was just trying to take the fans of WCW's Cruiserweight division. They went in with the idea that if they knew how to make stars better than WCW, imagine what they could do with their own Chris Jericho’s, Dean Malenko’s, Rey Misterio Jr's, Eddy Guerrero’s, and other who were top names in the Cruiserweight Division. The problem is that there was no one with the insight to really create a division that fans would get into. Seven years later, WWE has a large number of the Cruiserweight’s that were involved in the making of the WCW Cruiserweight Division as well as their title now has lineage to the WCW Cruiserweight Title. However, the WWE version is further behind than the Russo days with Madusa and Oklahoma holding the belt.

Dubzilla: Fiction. As much as Vince, J.R. and other big shots in the WWE loves the prototypical larger than life 6'7", 300+ lb hoss, they need the Cruiserweight’s despite the fact that they are often overlooked on the most part. If the CW division was scraped, Michael Cole wouldn't have the pleasure of saying "The Crusierweight’s are exclusive to SmackDown". Sure they aren't costly perhaps with the exception of Rey Misterio, but they have value. Who's going to job to Mordecai, Kenzo Suzuki and Luther Reigns? Who's gonna wrestle on Velocity? Billy Gunn and Bob Holly? You can only do so much with that dynamic duo. If the title is taken away, I see it having the same fate as the I-C Title in the fact that it will return at a later date.

Phantom: You mean it hasn’t all ready been retired? Ooh yeah that was the Light Heavyweight Title when they had a solid division and then decided for a goof to have a jobber win the belt and then disappear for while. I mean it’s sad when Cruiserweight wrestling is such a huge draw on the Indies and all Vince sees is cannon fodder for his big men wrestlers. I used to think Bruce Prichard was great. I mean who didn’t love Brother Love, but he’s a freaking moron to want to scrap the division just so everyone can be in the same class. I mean I can just see those 5 star encounters between Paul London and Billy Gunn. Sadly this is a huge FACT and when it comes down to it, NWA-TNA will gain viewers in the long run because they will have a more high impact and much more interesting style of wrestling to show case then the same old WWE Heavyweight Kick Punch Kick Kick BAH GAWD SPINEBUSTER Kick Punch Finisher style.

Dumass: FACT. The Cruiserweight division has been a joke for quite a long time. I say get rid of it since all it's doing is prolonging the wait of another commercial break by 2-3 minutes. Why hasn't told Vince that he can't play with cruisers? Are his yes-men that spineless? Hey Vince, you suck at Cruiserweight wrestling. Fire all your cruisers so they can go to TNA and maybe have something there to work with. Now, people will ask, 'Dumass, Cruiserweight is awesome! Remember when Rey and Eddy were in WCW and they were great, and now you should be happy because they are in the WWE!!' No. No, I shouldn't because they are becoming useless as the shows go by. Oh, and WCW is dead; meaning that American Cruiserweight wrestling is dead. Live with it.

Buzzsaw: Like someone walking in the distance, It will slowly fade away. Will I miss it? How can you miss something that's not their now? I will miss the potential that the Cruiserweight division had. The talent pool alone could rival any other organization around the world. Jimmy Yang, Paul London, Ultimo Dragon, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Rey Mysterio J.r., Spanky, Jamie "BY GAWD!" Noble. Those names alone could draw any cruiser fan to the boob tube for hours. But what is it about the extra small men that Vince does not like? For years we heard the horrid shout "I Looooooooooooooooove you!" Well Mr. Love what is it about these extra talented men that you refuse to show some love to? With Vince focused on "Bigger" things and Prichard petitioning to eliminate Cruiser wrestling, I believe that yes, the division will be gone before the big 2double05. FACT

Since given the chance to run with the so called "Ball" along with his recent explosions on the German fans, Eddie Guererro has proven that he cannot handle the pressures that come with representing the WWE as World Champion.

Phantom: I wouldn’t say he’s cracking under the pressure. Sure he might be snapping from time to time and he could have the occasional relapse with some Oxycotin and Tequila…but he’s hardly cracking under pressure. I think when it comes down to it, Eddie takes what ever is thrown at him and makes it work. Did anyone expect the Guerrero/JBL feud to be good? Eddie takes guys who otherwise suck and carries them to look like they deserve to be in the match. FICTION on this one unless he does something stupid like driving his car into a fence again.

Buzzsaw: "It's cause he has no one to feud with" " He is stuck in a feud with Bradshaw for god SAKES!" "It's Triple H's fault". Excuses and bad ones at that!! A great champion is able to make any feud watchable and entertaining no matter who the opponent. Well if your opponent is Giant Gonzales, then you fresh out fucking luck. Eddie has been less than stellar as champion. Sure he has been stuck in a feud with a sub-par opponent. But Eddie has not looked great either, his Promos have been repetitive and boring, the only thing that stays consistent is his in ring performances! And as for the Germany incident. As top face of your brand you cannot act childish by telling a country that they suck, Well Esse ya better get used to being booed in Germany cause they will make sure to make you feel unwelcomed from now on. Unfortunate I am going to have to say FACT

Dubzilla: Fact Eddie is a great wrestler, but he has the tendency to be a loose cannon. It's a facet of his personality. I'm not really captivated by his in-ring promos as champion. You could say that he's struggling because he doesn't have that blue chip superstar to work a program with. He may just be better off as one of those guys that is better as the 'hunter' than the 'hunted'. If the draft went on without a hitch and the trades didn't occur, we'd probably be seeing a HHH/Eddie Guerrero feud right now. That would have been great for both men. Eddie is a powderkeg waiting to explode and the intense emotion with him will continue to build up.

Dumass: FICTION. Let's get something straight here. Eddy Guererro has a pretty bad temper when it comes to wrestling. He's shown that if he doesn't get the crowd response or something goes wrong, he'll go bezerk. Remember those Chris Jericho tantrums that happened when he was starting to turn heel in WCW? Yeah, that's what Eddy does when things don't go his way in a match. I'm not going to say that he can't handle the pressure since he's been doing
this for a long time now. It's not pressure buckling, it's just a bad temper.

Da Ref: That's FICTION. Guerrero has done all that he can to represent WWE as their champion. He can handle the pressures but the company isn't seeing that. So he blew up at fans in Germany. What about Bradshaw? In his column before Judgment Day, the guy goes on a rant about the fans that don't see him as the main eventer he's being pushed as. Yet, when it comes to him having "the ball", Vince made sure that his had handles. Guerrero can handle himself. He and Art Barr were THE heels in Mexico during the El Gringos Loco days. When given an opportunity, he knows how to make the best of it. It's up to the company to see that.

Recent reports have stated that Tommy Dreamer will no longer compete as an in-ring performer. With somewhat of a cult following, many believe that if given the right angle, Tommy Dreamer could have been a great Champion

Dumass: FACT, though let's not go overboard. I respect Tommy a lot. With that
said, he couldn't have been more than a mid-card champ if anything. It's weird, the guy is an amazing heat magnet and everything, yet, if you look at the majority of his career, he's jobbing for everyone. It's like he's purposely losing so other people can be over with the crowds. Wait a minute. That's what most people in his position should be doing. Now, unfortunately, when you job constantly to put people over, you tend to have a bad record, and yes, in the world of a fake sport, bad win/loss records are still things you don't want. Tommy would have been a good I.C. champ, but a unforgettable one. It's kinda like if Piper and Bret didn't have their classic match at
Wrestlemania VIII, no one would have remembered that Piper had the title. Even though Tommy never had that shot everyone deserves, I still remember more Tommy moments than Austin, Rock, and HHH moments combined.

Phantom: I know this is a FACT. Tommy gets a good reaction anytime he comes out for a match. Had the WWE used that to make him a new Foley of sorts, he would have been huge and had he been given a title run he could have been a very credible champion. Now lets not go overboard, I know he would of never main evented but say you replace Dreamer with Foley in the feud with Randy Orton a couple months ago and it would of made for some fun matches and programming. Hell you could of sent him over to Smackdown a while ago, but it’s not like that show needs established stars or anything…

Buzzsaw: In the WWE!!?? Fiction, In Impact??!!! Fiction. Fiction fiction and more fiction. Tommy Dreamer peaked in ECW, there are certain wrestlers who were made for ECW. Tommy Dreamer, HaKman (Sandman if ya don't get the joke), and New Jack are great examples. And as you can see after ECW there is nothing.

Da Ref: If we're talking about WWE or World Champion, I'll say FICTION. I'm not going to slam Dreamer. The guy was almost like ECW's Ricky Morton. He was the babyface that got the fans to care about his character and not just what he did. He gave a lot of emotion in his matches. When he was taking a beating, he made sure that the fans could see that in his face. When he was making his comeback during a match, it was because the fans gave all of their energy to him and, regardless of how many chairshots or whatever he took, he sent it straight back to them. With that said, you can't put a major title on him and the crowd would buy him as a legitimate champion. If you have read interviews he's done, he's always said that he was never really interested in being the big time champion but would rather be involved in a program to help get guys over.

Dubzilla: If you mean a secondary champion, I'd say Fact, but I gotta say Fiction here. He was one of those guys like Mick Foley that fans could relate to because he was a blue collar wrestler. He knew how to get over with the fans and that's something you can't teach, you learn that by plugging and chugging away in the ring. I enjoyed the angle on RAW a couple of years back where he would do outrageous Jackass style stunts to get a rise out of people, that was entertaining. My question is what would be right angle for Dreamer if he was champion? Who are these people in this cult? They must drink barbicide, too. He's an ECW guy, he would have never got close to the title.

WWE has a golden opportunity to put Randy Orton over the top with WWE fans by simply having him take over evolution by turning on Triple H much like Rock with the Nation in 1997. As opposed to starting a Triple H Chris Benoit feud.

Dubzilla: Fiction. It would have been sweet to see history repeat in sense, but Randy Orton isn't ready for prime time just yet. He may very well be this decade's The Rock in respect to the way he's handled himself and ascended the ranks of the WWE. But you want to take your time with Randy, he's going to be a star for years unless he seriously injures himself climbing up the ring ropes. Randy may talk the talk, but he's gotta show me he can walk the walk before he plays double dutch with Triple H. As for the group Evolution, it's good just the way it is now although either HHH or Orton could be better off alone. Keep the status quo, strength in numbers is the way to go, I don't think any of the members of Evolution would complain.

Dumass: The WWE has screwed Randy Orton several times and that's the reason why no
one likes him. FACT. I know that there are people who hate Randy Orton, but unfortunately out of everyone on Raw at the moment, only him and Shelton are the only ones who seem to be open to superstardom. Randy should have been the lead of Evolution and Triple H should have been the manager, but something went wrong and we got more Triple H in crappy matches and Randy Orton doing absolutely nothing. The WWE should dump this idea of the
Horsemen and adopt the original idea of the Nation. The whole idea of the Nation works perfectly for Evolution. Now, if Vince and the rest of the family can stop jerking off to the fact that they own everything about the Horsemen, then maybe we can experience something brand spanking new.

Buzzsaw: Is this a FACT!!!! I think it is. Randy Orton is slowly gaining popularity amongst many WWE fans, He used to rely on both Triple H and Ric Flair to draw heat. But now the young lad has come on to his own, he has the NUMBA 1 selling shirt on shopzone.com and we all know what that means!!!!! Cause if ya do I would really like to know. In all seriousness Orton has yet to truly get over. He did not take advantage of Foley putting him over and if WWE is not careful they could really fail on putting him over the top, But by jumping Triple H and taking over Evolution this could be the perfect thing to really make Orton a household name. Yes it would be a carbon copy of a storyline from about 7 years ago, But hey! it worked then and it may work now. Have Orton drop the strap to Shelton Benjamin and have Triple H job to Benoit and have it all go down at Vengeance. The timing would be perfect and you could set up a series of matches between H and Orton that could last well into The Survivor Series.

Da Ref: There is no doubt in my mind that that's FICTION. The difference between the two scenarios is that Rock taking over the Nation was easy because Faarooq never really made an impression with the fans. When Rocky turned heel and joined the group, he overshadowed Faarooq two seconds after giving the salute. I still don't see Orton as being someone to build the company around just yet. In Evolution, he's right in the Tully Blanchard role for the group. He's a solid worker that can get a good reaction. However, putting the big gold around his waist isn't a good idea.

Phantom: Assuming Triple H loses his big title match at the next PPV, that would be the time to pull the trigger on having Orton taking over Evolution. As it is, I think Orton is the one who should be the leader of Evolution. Past…Present…Future. It doesn’t work with Four people. If Triple H really wants to be Flair, let Evolution beat the shit out of him like he was Sting and they were The Horsemen. Have a good Triple H feud with Evolution and come Survivor Series he finally gives back to “The Business” and puts Orton over cleanly since Randy is going to be a huge star for the WWE in a couple of years. So yeah this is a FACT…but it’s all about timing and time is slipping away.

With the recent strong showings by KANE, and the seeds planted for the Shawn Micheals feud, Kane may be able to rejuvenate his career for a future World title run

Da Ref: Just like the idea that he's had "strong showings", that's FICTION. There is still question how they could push Kane to a World Title shot after losing two straight PPV matches and a wretched angle with Matt Hardy, which may or may not be over. Bottom line, Kane's career has hit the wall. Correction, it the wall about 4 years ago when the Undertaker became the American Bad Ass. What you had was Glen Jacobs holding on to a gimmick that was created in conjunction with the "Dead Man" Undertaker, which Mark Calloway decided to move away from. While he may have gotten rid of the mask, it's still pretty much the same Kane character. It's kinda hard to rejuvenate something that's been dead for a long time.

Dumass: FICTION. Short and to the point, Kane is no longer any type of threat to me. All the crap he's put up with in the past has buried him and it's going to be a long long time (if ever) for him to be considered useful in my eyes.

Dubzilla: Fact. It takes one to know one, Shawn Michaels is ultimate competitor to give the rub to someone at this point in his career. HBK has rejuvenated his career by feuding with HHH, he can do the same for Kane. As long he doesn't get grounded by being the father of Lita's unborn child, Kane has the power to go straight to the top and hoist the elusive World Title belt.

Phantom: This is a huge FACT. In a sense it could be the new Savage/Steamboat since they ripped off Shawn’s injuries from when Randy crushed Ricky’s throat with the ring bell all those years ago. Have Shawn come back against all medical advice for a street fight like he had with Triple H in 2002. The emotion will be there and with Shawn’s ability to carry a wet rag to a great match, the seed is planted for someone to finally put Kane over as a legitmate contender. He had a great match with Benoit at Bad Blood. If they play their cards right, Kane could be built up enough to finally win the title around The Survivor Series.

Buzzsaw: This is Tricky. Kane has been shat on more times that grass on a cow farm. First off Kane has to continue a path of destruction week after week, and not just on random jobbers! WWE and there established stars need to bite the bullet and suck up there pride, Kane needs to attack them: Benoit, HHH, Flair, Orton, Edge. Not matter the name they cannot be immune to Kane’s attack! Until we come too SUMMERSLAM which will see the return of HBK who will challenge the mighty Kane, but for Kane to come out strong, he needs to win clean. No chairs, tables, blading from Micheals. Just a clean old chokeslam for the 1-2-3 in a somewhat dominant fashion, not a squash, But a dominant performance.

With the amazing talent pool in Japan, and the recent signing and in ring disappointment of Kenzo Suzuki, Has Vince McMahon lost his eye for talent?

Dubzilla: Fact and Fiction. Yes, he never had an eye for foreign talent. In order to succeed in the WWE, you need to get over on the mic. That requires some command of English and most foreign wrestlers rely on the primary language of their home country. I've heard through the grapevine that Tajiri speaks English very well, but they play up the stereotypes of the Far East. They do the same thing with Funaki. I don't expect Kenzo Suzuki to speak much. The WWE is mostly Canadians and Texans, if you live there, you might have a shot at being a WWE superstar. No, Vince hasn't lost his eye for talent. He may have lost touch with his audience, though. Then again, you gotta try something to see if it works. Sure there's a difference between talent and getting over, there are a lot of talented guys that can't get over and there are a lot of guys that get over that lack talent. It's not up to Vince if a superstar is successful, it's up to them.

Dumass: He hasn't lost his eye for talent, he's lost his use for it. FICTION,
but with him making all this new talent useless and such, he isn't helping any of the shows. Why does he even need new talent? He's afraid that TNA is going to scoop up all this talent with their payment of free tickets to Universal Studios? Truth of the matter is, his buying up talent is to cover the fact that he has completely lost any source of creativity that he had. He's trying to appease the fans by making it look like he's actually trying when all he's doing is losing money.

Da Ref: That question is a little misleading because it implies that Vince ever really had an eye for talent. The fact is Vince has never really had an eye for talent. The guys that had serious ability were found by other people within the company. Vince's "eye for talent" has always towards either big men with very little ability but looked imposing or eye candy. With that said, I've seen Kenzo Suzuki and I have a comment that I never thought I would ever even consider. With the performances by guys like Suzuki, Mordecai, and Tyson Tomko, there is actually a part of me that misses Nathan Jones. I don't think I ever changed the channel any faster than last week when Tomko blew the spot where he was supposed to catch Matt Hardy as he attempted a flying crossbody off the top rope.

Buzzsaw: Matt Morgan and Nathan Jones!!!! They funked up the spot waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before Kenzo "Hirohito" Suzuki. Vince lost his eye for talent along time ago. Old age is a bitch! And Vince is trying to dodge it as best he can, but I say it is age that is winning this main event. FACT

Phantom: He never had an eye for talent. He just had an eye for taking people that sucked and made them into something special. I like the Kenzo character, I mean not every Japanese wrestler can be Kawada or Misawa. Fiction only because Vince can make anyone look good with the right marketing.

Is using a six-sided ring for both their PPV and Impact broadcast’s a smart move for NWA-TNA?

Da Ref: I'm going to say FACT on this one. The whole six-sided ring concept is something that sets NWA-TNA apart from any wrestling company that had a national TV deal. When the fans tune in for Impact and see the ring, it catches their eye and, with the way they're doing a good job in promoting the PPV's, those fans might be interested and pay the $9.95 to see them. If they turn the PPV on and see a normal four-sided ring, it makes those fans wonder if they've been scammed. If they feel that way, who's to say whether or not they'll buy next week's show?

Dumass: FICTION since the ring is no longer a fun thing to watch. See, I know all about this X Divsion and all the cool moves they do, but, if the cool moves and things doesn't make me buy the PPV they shove down my neck every Friday, then a six-sided ring isn't going to do it; end of story.

Buzzsaw: Sure. It's different. But not in the marry your cousin way. I say if it draws attention and it's not hurting any of your performers then have at it! FACT

Dubzilla: Fiction Unless you work regularly in the lucha libre environment of Mexico, you normally work in the squared circle not a hexagon. TNA made the big mistake of jumping the gun by putting the six-sided ring on both the PPVs and the Fox Sports Net weekly show. They should have kept it just on the show from Orlando, let the X-Division stars and the cameramen get use to their surroundings then about two months later eased it into the PPVs possibly if they felt the need to. They could have made Impact a unique show then once it got a bigger following, included the six-sided ring on PPV maybe for just the X Cups. It was a dumber move than letting Don West constantly wear the same color silk shirt and tie combo every week. The combo doesn't work with his Pez dispenser head and Big League Chew demeanor. I would have said Skoal Bowl but TNA is trying to project themselves as family friendly programming.

Phantom: It’s a smart move in the short term, but if you still book the same horrible shows in a bigger ring what difference will it make. TNA’s only saving grace is that they have the feud of the year building with Raven and Sabu, A.J. Styles is the best wrestler in America, and when it comes down to it TNA will still give you over an hour of wrestling action compared to maybe 30 minutes in the WWE on a given show. FACT on this, lets just hope TNA doesn’t screw things up.

Give some predictions for the rest of the year 2004
Buzzsaw: Predictions for 2004...... It is all going by so fast! Only 7 months to predict. I'll lay it down pretty simple.

    1. Triple H will be champion before September
    2. Mordecai and Suzuki will both be off WWE television before 2005
    3. Shelton Benjamin will be a big Flop
    4. JBL will be champion before Survivor Series
    5. Charlie Haas and Miss Jackie could begin what could be the breakout team of 2005
    6. Matt Hardy will continue to receive very little airtime.
    7. Chris Jericho will continue his quest to never be World Champion again. So 2004 looks great don't it, At least 2004 saw to men who have worked hard there whole lives both live out there dreams of being world champions, one of which was immortalized on the biggest PPV since WM 1. Good Times all.

Dumass: Chris Benoit will be fired for not wanting to job to Triple H at Survivor Series '04. You know why.

JBL will be World Champion by October.

Sting will be signed to the WWE and be made to fued with Ric Flair for 7 weeks.

Teddy Hart will continue to fear me and my challenge

Dubzilla: Tag team wrestling in the WWE reverts back to circa 2000 when Edge and Christian reform as a wicked tag team combo. Jeff Hardy finally defeats his demons and rejoins brother Matt with Lita and those Damn Dudleys simply be themselves. TLC fuses with Hell In A Cell set on fire with the most wicked match ever devised in the history of our sport, The Hell In A Handbasket Gone Awry match.

Jeff Jarrett suffers a career ending injury to his neck and ends up serving the same on-air role that Kurt Angle currently occupies on SmackDown. In TNA's current attempt to emulate WWE storylines, Dallas becomes like Luther Reigns and becomes Jeff Jarrett's secondhand man.

TNA realizes the power of prayer and banks on an angle between devout Christian A.J. Styles and heretic, The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels. They engage in some classics out of this world wrestling matches that blow the wrestling world ablaze to its technical greatness as well as its spotty pomp and circumstance. Evolution dissolves as Randy Orton and Batista can't take the fact that HHH is the de facto leader of the group and Ric Flair continues to play up that fact. They both proceed to give Ric Flair one last great crimson mask before he fades off into permanent retirement from the wrestling business.

Undertaker buries Kane alive at Survivor Series 2004.

Ted Turner decides to get back into pro wrestling once again and is on his way to competing with Vince McMahon once again by putting on a weekly wrestling show to compete with RAW on Monday evenings.

Brock Lesnar plays pro football in some respect whether it be NFL or the CFL. He doesn't cower in fear of the pressures of the pigskin and abstains from returning to the WWE.

Jim Ross finally declares that his blood type is actually barbecue sauce.

Da Ref: I gotta believe this will be the year to determine whether or not NWA-TNA will really make it. With the overwhelmingly positive feedback for Impact, their viewership can only increase. They've got AMW back as the tag champs, making that division solid. With his recent stints as NWA World Heavyweight Champion, I think having A.J. Styles back in the X Division only gives more credibility to the division. Right now, the company is pretty much giving a lesson in how to book great angles with the deal between Sabu and Raven. While they may still have their problems, they appear to be in the best direction they've been in the two years they've been around.

The split between Ring of Honor and RF Video is going to be positive for ROH. After the incident with Rob Feinstein, ROH was looked at less when it came to their product and more about whether or not Feinstein was still with the company. Any attempts to assure the wrestlers and the public were seen as less than adequate. One of the not so obvious notions about that was the fact that Ring of Honor was still aligned with RF Video, which bears Feinstein's initials. By breaking away from RF Video and getting a national distribution deal with Takedown Masters, the company is free from the stigma of Rob Feinstein. Feinstein is back with RF Video while ROH is now on its own. With the incident involving Feinstein being seen as a major reason why NWA-TNA pulled their talent from ROH, it could even lead to talent that left
    the company before returning.

Phantom: I predict the following things will happen…

Tag Team Wrestling in the WWE and TNA will continue to revolve around one or two established tag teams and thrown together duo’s.

John Cena’s 15 minutes will be officially warn out and he will lose the U.S. title to someone who will defend it more then once every month. His album will also be panned by music critics and hip hop experts as he’ll be branded a tame version of Eminem.

Bret Hart will make at least one appearance in the WWE by the end of the year to kick Vince McMahon in the balls.

Shawn Michaels will turn heel by the end of the year, possibly by Superkicking Bret Hart.

George W. Bush and John Kerry will appear on WWE Programming around election time for a debate of some sort and Kerry will lose the election in a land slide after screwing up one of The Rock’s catch phrases as G Dubbya does The Nature Boy Strut
