News on Edge's heel turn, Update on Chris Jericho's arm injury

  • During the Raw-Brand house show in Manchester last night, the WWE had Edge turn heel for the night during his match with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. The reason for this is because Flair was getting very big face pops from the crowd, while Edge was being booed.

While the heel turn was just for last night, the WWE may decided to do it for real on WWE TV if things work out all right. With Edge as a heel, it would give the WWE a new opponent for "The Crippler" Chris Benoit to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against, especially when you consider that HHH could be taking time off after Bad Blood to film a movie and the WWE would need someone to fill the position of the #1 contender for WWE Vengence (a Raw-Brand only PPV) next month.

  • As we reported yesterday, Chris Jericho injured his arm during the current overseas tour that the Raw-Brand is on. While Jericho's arm is starting to feel a lot better, "Y2J" is now suffering from a sore neck. While it is unlikely that Jericho will have to take time off to heal from this, the WWE may decided to either give Jericho the night off on Monday for Raw, or use him in a non-wrestling capacity.
